OT: Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

Don’t know if anyone else has been watching the latest GoT spinoff, but I’ve actually really liked it so far. Very light hearted and laid back show compared to the other two shows that have preceded it.

It’s a really funny show honestly. The two actors that play Dunk and Egg have really good chemistry. Very much a big brother little brother relationship with a lot of fun moments.

Episodes aren’t very long and it’s not this huge scale show. Some will probably say it’s a little slow. But I much prefer it to some of the later GoT stuff and whatever the heck HotD Season 2 was.

.Really good so far. Got me right back into the universe I have cussed GRRM for inventing and not finishing, and more than likely will never finish.
I’ve always enjoyed these novellas and seems to be with the smaller budgets and shorter stories these should be able to get through pretty quick

I hated the House o Dragon sequel, was out after 3 episodes. Glad to hear this is better but not sure if I'll give it a chance.

I would love to buy him a Guinness and continue this discussion! I totally agree with his analysis of fantasy movies and series. I've always said life is a team sport. We choose sides in every facet of what we encounter. We are State fans here so we hope for the best in our competitions. When things outside of State are discussed we find out what other posters teams are. Some are Chevy fans, some are Ford or Toyota. If politics are discussed the Democrats and Republicans argue until the thread gets locked. If religion is discussed the Christian and atheists debate touting their virtues. I loved the series Firefly because they humanized people of different beliefs (teams) getting along in spite of the teams they supported.

The show is very close to the books so far, which is a good thing IMHO, and they have already greenlit seasons 2 & 3. Very curious how they handle Summerhall in season 3.

Episode 4 was awesome, probably the best one yet. Ending had me pumped.
