I hope you get it under control. I have a family member who has lost part of his foot and is very likely about to have it amputated up to his calf. The most frustrating part is that this was mostly preventable.
Amputation (and maybe blindness) is probably my biggest fear in this whole thing. I had a great uncle that lost his whole leg (after 3 separate amputations - foot, to the knee, to the hip) and spent last year of his life blind.I hope you get it under control. I have a family member who has lost part of his foot and is very likely about to have it amputated up to his calf. The most frustrating part is that this was mostly preventable.
Yeah, I mean… if I’m being honest, I’m actually really scared and I was devastated as the doctor was giving me the results, but making jokes about it is my default, like it somehow makes it less devastating if I can make light of it. Plus, I have a pretty dark sense of humor. My wife doesn’t love that I make jokes about my own mortality (she might be more scared than I am), but it’s how I cope.I do appreciate that you're taking this with a sense of humor.
I joked with my wife that maybe I could become the next Oscar Pistorius. She asked me who that was. She didn’t think it was funny once I told her.
What about 6-1, 245? Asking for a friend.IMO, BMI is garbage, At one point, and for a long time I was at, 183lb , and body fat of 13 percent, and the chart said I was over weight., 6ft.
B/S....
Hahaha… a little of column A, little of column B?Because she wants you to keep your legs or because she's now afraid you'll shoot her?
That possessed will get you if you don’t watch it.Personally, I cut the carbs and started eating lean proteins and mine dropped 3 points just by doing that.
And obviously no sugar or possessed foods.
Loss of weight has followed but still got a ways to go.
My goal is to get off the Metformin that I am currently taking.
But all people are different and genetics are a part of the equation.
I pray that you are able to get in front of it.
I had somebody mention wine to me, but I’ve been sober almost 20 years.Get a constant glucose monitor. I've been dealing with diabeetus since 1995. I watched carbs and tried to keep my A1c down but it was a struggle. I hated finger.sticks and got to where I wasn't checking enough. Since getting the Dexcom and just being able to look at my phone anytime, my A1c has stayed between 5 and 6.5. Best thing to come along for me. 30 years and I'v never had to use insulin.
Also, Whiskey has no carbs! My blood glucose actually goes down when I have a couple.
yes it will! hahaThat possessed will get you if you don’t watch it.
