Hi guys,

I'm looking for somewhere in the Columbus/Starkville area to purchase dress pants. I made the HUGE mistake of buying my past round of dress pants from Joseph A. Banks...and they just DON'T fit even after being tailored. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I'm trying to stay local and I hate ordering online (I like to try before I buy). I'm kind of looking for a place that sells more than pleated front, old man, ********. I'm a flat front guy.

Any suggestions?

All of my professors used to all say they got theirs at this suit place right off 82 in Columbus.

Sorry to not be any more help than that.

If you couldn't get Jos A Banks pants to fit after getting them altered, you probably have a weird enough body type that you will probably be better off going to a tailor. Will be a huge pain as far as expense and also you may have to go to Memphis to find one. Use to be a guy that traveled through North Mississippi that would tailor pants for maybe $225 but I have no clue what his name was or how you would get in touch with him.

Before trying that, you probably want to try finding a different person to do your alterations, as it could have been that person screwing up.

I suffer from a physical deformity my wife calls "no-***-at-all". Makes fitting pants a pain.

Thanks for the George Sherman recommendation. I forgot about them. They have a tailor?

I was gonna say the same thing. Who buys pants that don't fit? JAB has crazy online only sales all the time. I get tons of stuff from them. If it doesn't fit, I just return it. once I settle on pants I like, I have my local cleaners finish the hem with the cuff so I know the length is spot on.

I thought was a disease that all married men suffer from.

Growing up I distinctly remember my dad constantly saying "I'm getting no *** at all." Sounds terrible.

Reed's in Columbus has some good business attire as well as George Sherman in Starkville.

There is a good tailor out of Bham who does some stuff in Columbus on a regular basis. I've got a contact if you need it.
