So I live in LA and its around 15-20 to see a movie in the theater. I usually wait until screener season and watch on my laptop just because I am cheap. So far in terms of how I liked a movie I stand at Sicario>Creed>Hateful 8 and I am about to start The Revenant ...Ive heard Room and Spotlight are really good too. Anyone see any of these movies yet or have a good one to see you havent?

I am coming back to Neb for a week in a week so might actually see Star Wars at the new Alamo place if I have time

Cannot wait for The Revenant! I haven't seen Sicario, Creed, or the Hateful 8 yet. Going to see Star Wars on Christmas Day in one of those 15-20 dollar theaters in Culver City ;).

Just got home from Creed. As a huge fan of the Rocky series, I thought Creed was great. Really well done.

I haven't seen any other movies in the theater for over a year due to a 1 and a half year old. So I can't help otherwise.

Hateful 8 is pretty good. Vintage Tarantino, as you can imagine. Did not like The Revenant. If you really like cinematography, great, this is for you. If not, you might be bored.

I really enjoyed Sicario. Creed seemed ok, (spoiler alert) but nothing more than original Rocky 2.0. Same exact story practically and pretty much same ending. Then again, Star Wars sort of just did the same thing. I watched Hateful 8 and was really disappointed. It is probably my least favorite Tarantino movie. I just don't get where all the praise is coming from. It mostly bored me and that is pretty much the opposite of any of his other movies for me. I love his movies. It seemed lazy to me. Throw in some epic cinematography and mix in a western version of Clue. Make sure to include lots of red herrings. It just seemed lazy to me. Check out Ex Machina if you want to watch an awesome movie. It stars the hotshot X-Wing fighter from Star Wars, and is a cross between Blade Runner and Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now. Very good movie.

Going to Star Wars again today with my brothers and "A Beautiful Mind." When you make it back, might have to see it for a third time.

Spotlight was the best I've seen this year. 99 Homes was very good. Sicario was also pretty strong too. Mad Max was great over the top nonstop action. Very good. Love and Mercy was pretty good. More so interesting to see the mind of Dennis Wilson and the making of Pet Sounds.

Star Wars story line sorta left me flat. More than anything, it made me realize how much time has passed since the first one came out. Made me sort of nostalgic. Like someone else said, not as good as the original 3, but better than the prequels. Pretty ordinary movie to me.

Best of Enemies is really fun. I believe it's on Netflix. Also on Netflix is Exit Through the Gift Shop. Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me is phenomenal if you are an Alex Chilton/Big Star person. Twenty Feet From Stardom is exceptional.

Wait for Concussion on DVD. Decent flick. Will Smith is great, the story is a bit all over the place though.

Any feedback on the Big Short?
Planning on seeing it Thursday night. Got some good reviews....better than Joy which is what the Mrs. wanted to see until we saw the reviews. Will get that one on redbox to see for ourselves but not wanting to waste money in a theater for a possible dud.

Watched Sicario last night. Wow. That might be the best picture of the year. Del Toro completely killed it. Also, got halfway through The Martian and it's great so far.

Just saw it last night. Well worth going to see. It flowed somewhat like a 'docudramedy,' but was interesting content. I think Steve Carell, Christian Bale, and Ryan Gosling might be up for some awards from this one.
