How well run Saturday was for the freshman moving in. Well organized and all the volunteers we dealt with were extremely helpful. Our family is new to the MSU community but everything since our initial visit last October has been impressive, well organized and professional. Hope the next four years for my freshman go as well as it has so far, because if it does I know this choice will absolutely have been the right one.

And we went to Walmart. What a mass of humanity. Almost had to feel bad for the employees with the shape that place was in. Straightening the store up for the next business day had to take all night. Looked like a mini tornado had hit it. And the it looked like people with carts were playing a version of demolition derby, with iron banging off iron in every aisle!

when school started back. Less selection, but it's not nearly as picked over. And definitely less crowded.

Sounds like a typical day at any Walmart.

Rubbin's shoppin.

I helped my son move into South Hallon Saturday, but didn't go to Walmart.I did go to Big Lots for a few things the night before. I wasn't about to tackle Walmart that day. He can go to himself this week if he needs anything else.

Little punk has a new dorm room with a thermostat, private bathroom, andcable TV (his roomate brought a new 42" TV and Xbox 360, and I got them a Blu Ray player). He doesn't start classes for 10 days, andhis classes are in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd,and 5th closest buildings to his dorm room(Allen, Hand Lab, McCool, and Carpenter). His one 8am class is virtually next door in Allen Hall.

When I was a freshman, we got old cinder block walls, one TV in the whole dorm (in the lobby), one bathroom for the whole hall, and community showers. I also had to walk up a huge hill and all the way across campus for 8am classes every day. And we liked it!

Ok, I didn't mean I liked the community showers.

Did a year in Hamlin and the next in Suttle. That hill was a mother17er, especially in the winter. Cable?
