It's a total rechange and it will take some getting used to. Multitasking looks visually nice. They wanted to get away from skew morphism and flatten the design. They accomplished that.

I use my phone every day, all day for work..

..and in the end, I guess I care a lot more about functionality than looks.

But why do I want to pay top dollar for the best screen on the planet if you're only going to strip away all the color and "flatten" everything?

/please don't start a pissing match over best screen on the planet.

Seems like every "upgrade" lately from Microsoft or Apple has actually been a huge step backwards instead.

I knew they announced it but didn't realize it was already available. Not sure I want a "flat" look to my iPhone and iPad.

I still don't understand how Samsung and everybody under the sun were able to copy the iPhone and iPad ... didn't Apple have any patents?

Apple has used the same basic operating system since 2007. Android has passed them by with some basic features and they are somewhat playing catchup with them. The operating system (IOS) runs better and the iphone product I feel is better made than any other android phone that I have played with. All tech companies have to change and sometimes that change is aggressive. Apple can't sit on their *** and never change the IOS. The functionality is behind the change, not just the look.
