Games are at night so may have to eat early at these but these are my favorites.
The Southern
Merchants
Farm House
Arnold’s for lunch on Friday, 8th Ave— best meat and 3 in Nashville
Rolf and Daughters
Get a fried bologna and a PBR at Roberts Western Wear for lunch on Saturday.
If you want BBQ— go to Peg Leg Porker.
Urban Grub in Belmont area.
Tavern — between Broadway and 19th Ave S
All of these are close to the Vandy area

Jeeze. There are a thousand restaurants within three miles of Vanderilt's campus, and they're virtually all good. Just trot out the Zomato app and live large! Elliston Place, Demunbreun, Hillsboro Village, Green Hills, Midtown (Hattie-B's), 12th South, the Gulch. If you're adventuresome, go to East Nashville and visit Pharmacy Burger. You can't go wrong.

Long time Nashville resident here and I second Martin's on Belmont. The Redneck Taco is really good. Great flat (fried) cornbread covered with pork barbecue and topped by cole slaw. Good stuff.

I don't get Hattie B's personally. Just didn't think it was good. If you like hot chicken then there is better to be had and original/authentic too. You may like it and lots do. Seems like a mass illusion to me sorta like the Emperor's new clothes.

Arnold's is as good as it gets to me. We ate there yesterday and it was great as always like going home to Mississippi and sitting at Mama's table many years ago.

For old time atmosphere and a good burger with no frills try Rotiers. Old Vandy alums flock here on football weekends. It's been around since the 1940s. If you liked Len Lew's or Sarge's then this one or Brown's Diner may appeal to you.

Hope you have a good time in Music City. It may be crowded with CMA and even a few Bonnaroonies wandering through town.

Go Dogs and beat the West End elitists like a rented mule.

Biscuit Love in the Gulch for breakfast (get the bo-nuts).

If you venture over to East Nashville, Lockeland Table is great for supper.

If your a fan of the Gatlinburg area, there is a Pancake pantry really close to Vandy's campus.

I recommend Pastaria for really good pasta. Next door to it is Sump, a great place for coffee.

Martins is good, however, I prefer Edley's in Sylvan park, its down the road from Vandy. Do yourself a favor and stay out of East Nashville. If you're staying close to campus you may want to try a bird for your commute to the stadium.
