I don't envy being the committee. FSU shouldn't be in. Texas is gonna get hosed in all of this.

If Texas is the odd man out, that would be utter BS. They should have an edge over Alabama.
If FSU gets in then it should be Texas because then it’s a head to head comparison between Alabama and Texas so that win on the road has to matter.

IMO Texas can get in without Alabama but Alabama can’t get in without Texas which would have to come at the expense of FSU.

Should be
Florida St (Beat LSU with a better score than Bama, plus undefeated)
Michigan
Washington
Texas (Beat Bama)

It's about the body of work.
3 undefeated teams and the worst one Beat a common opponent better.
And a 4th team beat the 5th team head to head.

No way they keep fsu out. Would be nuts. GA was overrated all year.

I watched Texas today and I watched FSU today. With my eyeballs, Texas is a much better team and should be in over FSU. It’s not exactly fair, and I can’t believe they’d leave a 13-0 ACC champ out. But Texas beats FSU by 2 touchdowns on a neutral field

FSU deserves to be in but I don't think they have a shot a beating Mich/Wash, unlike Alabama or Texas.

There was a very awkward trophy handoff from the ACC commish to Norvell of FSU haha .. FSU demanding an uneven share of money compared to their conference mates, and the board of governors having a public zoom meeting trashing the ACC and threatening to leave, hiring lawyers to try to get out of the GOR and blow up the conference probably had something to do with it …

FSU with backup qb squeaks by ‘Ville.

While undefeated I don’t think they can hold up against Bama, Wash, UM. That’s why I think Texas gets in over them.

Before their starting qb got hurt - think they could have done well to be competitive.

SECs best non conference win was Louisville and Florida State beat them with their 3rd string QB. This year ACC dominated SEC. It was a down year and the top 2 teams had 1st year QBs. Georgia played nobody in non conference and Alabama lost to Texas at home.

Taken from main board

Thats the fallacy, that a coach is proven or a guarantee. Just about everyone isn’t.

Kelly was not proven in CFB when he went to UCLA? Everyone thought that was an awesome hire. Fisher at A&M, national champ coach. It’s always some level of crap shoot whether people realize it or not.
This is true.

It was a weekend of awkward trophy handoffs. Pac 12 commissioner basically handed the trophy off and ran. B12 commissioner had to endure booing and chants of sec sec. Acc commish had to give it to fsu who wants to be in any conference but his. Aac had the smu fans chanting acc acc. And finally b1g had to give it to Michigan. We will probably never see such trophy shenigans ever again. They were fun to watch for once.
