Colorado was terrible before Sanders was hired.
Though they have flash now the talent level isn't as high as most of Sander's supporters thought he brought in
Also it's an undisciplined team this year and if it gains bowl eligibility we should say Sanders did a good job
If it folds and doesn't earn bowl eligibility, that doesn't mean Sanders failed only that he needs more talent to make the Buffs a winner.
Right now the flash surrounding Sanders and how the players are allowed to act is keeping this team motivated because the talent program has isn't the best for making a winner.
As better talent arrives the flash will be reduced ( but still part of the program) and more discipline will be seen in the way the team plays the game.
Sanders might not be the greatest game day coach , but he's a good one on the O, just needs the Buffs to play D better and have the players that can do it.
Colorado will be a good team in a few years, but will have bumps and bruises like they did last night along the way

He didn’t bring in lots of talent and I’ve said that when people thought there was a bunch. He brought a handful of good players but the rest were just eh but still might have been better than they had, I don’t know.

They’re improved but how much is up in the air. I’m still skeptical of discipline improving even when the talent gets better. His style of coaching doesn’t seem to lend itself to that but we’ll see.

IU just went up 7-0 and have been playing well so far.

141yds for IU, -6 for Michigan

I didn’t think Rod Carey would make a diff at OC but so far looking good.

Early games living up to uninspiring matchups for ranked teams.

Best TV choice looks to be the board’s home team game. Maybe the 2nd half will go differently there.

Early on Washington looks like they’ve come to play today. Hard hits on STs and D.

Illinois up 7-0 on Maryland

Maryland TD 7-7

A&M up 7-0 on Tenn

Penalties hurting Washington on that drive. 78yd TD drive for Oregon

8-7 as Oregon goes for two. Lanning has a tendency to do that. Tempo helped on that.

Wisconsin stuffed on 4th and 1 inside the redzone. I don’t know why. Get the goose egg off the board and any points you get just makes the mountain that much higher for Iowa lol.

Oregon TD with the TE reaching up for the catch on the Nix scramble. 15-14 Oregon

Looks like the expected barn burner so far.

Maryland 14-7 on Illinois
A&M up 10-7 on Tenn

Iowa big run for a TD. 82yds, 7-0 on top of Wisconsin

Illinois tied at 14 with Maryland

Nice job by Johnson taking it to the outside for the UW TD run. Looks like they’re going for 2. They get it 22-15 UW, creative call to get the 2 lol.

Oh man they had the play wide open and the TE looks like he saved the play on a short throw by Penix. Under review. I think it was a catch

I didn’t like going for it there by DeBoer but it worked…barely.

The 4th didn’t cost them but INT shortly after at midfield. Oregon with a chance for points before half.

Oh baby, inside the 10. With 22 secs left and a timeout left.

Lanning is crazy aggressive as usual. Instead of taking an easy FG to get within 1 he goes for it on 4th and they get nothing instead.

Lanning is way too aggressive imo. Him and the TT coach are nuts at times imo.

Orlovsky is quite good with his breakdowns.

Kansas up 32-24 on Ok St

Tenn PR for a TD, 14-10 up on A&M
Illinois up 24-14 on Maryland

Not taking the FG at the half might bite Lanning if UW scores a TD here. 2 CBs out for Oregon too.

UW just scored a TD on the nice back shoulder catch. 29-18 UW

Wisconsin FG closes to 7-3, Mordecai has been out and Locke is in as qb

A&M closes to 14-13 down to Tenn

Maryland TD closes to down 24-21 to Illinois

Lanning does it again with the aggression. 6 points in FGs would have this at a 5 point game but instead down 11. Decisions like this cost them the Oregon St game too last year iirc..

Wisconsin closes to 7-6…could be up 9-7 if they didn’t forego the FG early in the game.

30yd TD for Oregon too bad for them they don’t have any points from chip shot FGs lol.

Defense has picked up for Oregon and threatening for a score now. Lanning’s gambles might not hurt them.

Oregon TD on a very physical runs, up 33-29

And on the flip side lol

Even if Oregon wins, it doesn’t make passing on those FGs right imo. He could be up more now and have more breathing room.

Iowa FG…up 10-6

OMG DeBoer not going for the FG either and they convert..4th and 6.

And they get it down to the 1 on the next play.

Penix has been playing hurt…has been holding his mid section for awhile

12-6 Iowa on the safety lol.

Another critical 4th coming up for UW, on the goaline

Oh man Oregon stuffs them.

I don’t particularly like all these 4th down calls from both teams. Nothing wrong with FGs and points.

Illinois Maryland tied at 24
Tenn up 17-13 on A&M..make it 20-13
