but Chad Stokes is a very good dentist and a good friend of mine. I'd recommend him to anyone. Also, a SPS poster is a dentist (I think his name is something like Dental Dawg).

Kevin Nelson is a big State supporter and alumnus. Very friendly and just a great guy. Never have to wait in waiting room, files all insurance for me.

I used to go to William Buck off Flowood Drive the whole time I lived in and around Jackson. Really enjoyed him as a dentist, I think he spent more time on a tooth cleaning with me than other dentist have over years of going. Small shop but quality IMO

Thanks for all the responses. I'm gonna give Dr. Carney a try because his location is most convenient. Seems like the guy in Gluckstadt is immensely popular, but a round trip drive of nearly an hour is a bit much.

Thanks!

Horecky: I'm gonna give you a shot in the gum to numb the pain.

Me: Nope. I'm scared of shots.

Horecky: Okay, I'll give you some gas to help the pain.

Me: Nope. The gas makes me nauseous.

Horecky: Okay, I'll give you a Viagra.

Me: Will that help the pain?

Horecky: Nope, but it will give you something to hold onto while I do this root canal.

...someone asking for advice on a dentist to visit, and not one person used the most important factor - overall hotness of the hygienists.

Keith Givan, believe he's in Ridgeland. Highland Colony Pkway.

Sent two of his kids to State. I'm sure he's a big supporter, but I don't know him personally, so I won't assume anything.

His other kid went to UNC.... 'course, she was recruited to play for the most successful college sports team in the nation and she started for a team that won 2 national titles while she was there and was a big-time player for them. Can't say I hold that against him.

...I'd rather have a Hotty Toddy Fullbore Rebel Loyalty booster that knew how to be a good dentist, rather than a good 'ol Bulldog fan who leaves me screaming in utter pain in the dentist's seat.*

*-don't know anything about good a dentist Tim is, just that school affiliation should be WAY down the list of searching for a good dentist.

I used to go to my dad, but he was an MC and UT grad. He did send two of his sons to MSU and is a season ticket holder.
He retired recently and I asked him for his recommendations.
And guess what, it wasn't a Bulldog he recommended, but a Black Bear and he is a great Dentist and good all-around guy.
Some of you idiots take this Bulldog/Rebel rivalry just a little too far.
Sure it's great to do business with a fellow Bulldog, but when it comes to your Health and personal well-bring it should not be a factor in your decision.
