I excited for Saturday's game, but need to do something else to occupy my brain to pass the time. Here are some words or phrases that people use today I f_ckin hate....

Surreal (don't hate, but way overused in the wrong context). For example, " Did you see the new Jurrasic Park movie, it was surreal.

"No Problem".
I say to a waiter/waitress 'Thank You' for something and they reply 'No Problem'.
I sure hope doing your job is 'No Problem', but I may have a problem giving you a good tip.
The reply to a 'Thank You' should be 'You're Welcome'.

the phrase "Easy Squeezy......isn't new it's just being recycled. Apparently it can be traced back to a detergent commercial from the 60's.

The only time I can remember hearing it was in the 2005 movie "The Greatest Game Ever Played". That was the story of Francis Ouimet's victory in the 1913 US Open. His caddie says it to him. Whether that was a phrase used back then or something the writer threw in, I don't know.

All the stupid texting abbreviations that millenials have started using in place of real words like "prolly" rather than probably and other such nonsense!

"On accident"

If something happens accidentally it happens "By accident" not "on accident"

When the heck did young people start saying that? It just sounds so wrong when I hear it.

I suppose "on accident" began being used as something with an opposite meaning to "On purpose" but just sounds so wrong

"Bae" is getting a little stale

The words I'm most weary of are "athleticism" and "Hi Mike how you doing?" while listening to Francesa. Every caller has to ask Mike how he's "doing".

As for "athleticism" - its mostly football announcers that kill the feck out of that word. Players do the most basic things and some nit praises his "athleticism". 15 yr old girls do triple reverse flips on 4" on balance beams and you don't hear the word but in a football game I must hear it 15 times.

When people order food and say " I'll do this or that.....I'll do the pork chops"...hate that. I could never be a waiter. When sports talking heads...especially in college football refer to the team as the head coach. "And we'll see if Meyer runs it in" or "Saban brings the pressure". Guess what ? the coaches aren't on the field. There are many others but those are a few annoying things.

This one makes my blood boil. Ive been hearing it everywhere lately, mostly when meeting a new female.

"Welll I am HUGE foodie!"

Why can't you just say that you enjoy different foods?


#2 - "I could care less"

Oh okay. So you could care less? That means that you do in fact care. So why would you use the phrase "I could care less" to display your uncaring for a situation?
