There are some good hip hop/rap songs out. The ones I like are produced or written by Kanye. I’m not gonna post because of language, but if anyone is a fan of that genre check it out. You’re welcome.
This one isn’t bad. I like the beat and Kanye’s dancing ..

the beat on this track is fantastic. but i thought pusha is mailing in the verses. he's capable of much better.

still a bit of foul language, but a lot more thoughtful

love this guy's covers...

I know it's not actually Depeche Mode; it's just a cover of them. But whenever I hear Depeche Mode, I want to tear my ears off and take a jack-hammer to my ear-drums. No kidding.

I had actually forgotten (aka repressed) all that. For the past couple decades or so, I've maintained my sanity (more or less) by having tricked my brain into thinking that such aural offenses to my senses could never actually exist, in real life.

But now, thanks to you, I'm back in the real world where such ear-corrupting noxious noise has been produced. The least you could do is offer to pay for my therapy while I try to shove that, that... that crime against all musical humanity back into the dark recesses of my mind and hopefully never, ever stumble across it again. 😡

Otherwise, I quite liked it. 🙂

Never heard of either one. That is a beautiful duet.

But that shirt does not seem to fit Holly' style of music? Looked her up, and it says she is "alternative rock," and perhaps the definition has been expanded. Sure sign I may be out of the musical loop---never heard of one of her influences:

Humberstone cites Damien Rice, Ben Howard, Phoebe Bridgers, and HAIM as musical inspirations

She does remind me of Damien Rice. Haunting music.

Second release off of Scorpions new album to be released Feb. 25.

Sounds a bit like China White from Blackout, which is OK!

Eddie Trunk tweeted that video. Some said Death Angel. Dave Grohl did the Probot project which was heavy too. Foos also released a disco album.

Crazy to think Klaus and Rudy are 73. Good song from them, like you said a bit of a throwback. Thanks for posting.
Love the Scorpions. First saw them in 1984, and Bon Jovi opened, with the song Runaway just becoming a hit. Scorpions were fantastic. My ears rang for almost a week. Earplugs were not a thing then.

By far my favorite band as a young teen. Won tickets to a Y&T concert on Monmouth College radio by naming the 5 original members of the Scorpions. My best friend took "Mathias" as his confirmation name after Matthias Jabs. We actually got to meet them before a show about 10 years ago or so on the Humanity- Hour One tour. Good times.

The show was great, and so were the openers. Stoner is a new band with one of the guys from Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age. I thought their album was boring but they put on a good show. The other opener was a local band that I believe is somewhat well known around the country in the stoner rock genre--The Atomic Bitchwax. Someone else was supposed to open the show and wasn't able to, so The Atomic Bitchwax was called only a few hours before the show but they got it together and put on a good set.

Fittingly, I won free tickets to the show from WSOU, same radio station that introduced me to Spacegrass. But nah there was no Jesus on my dashboard and I wasn't in a Dodge Swinger either haha.

I haven't checked out that album yet but that Juggernaut song is cool, I'll have to check it out.
Friday, May 13 looks epic.

Yep I'm hoping to be there, but I have a wedding to be at that Saturday. I'm hoping to get there for Sunday too to see Left Lane Cruiser. They're not metal at all, more like a blues-rock kinda thing, but one of my coworkers turned me onto them a while back. I went to the previous NY Desertfest back in 2018 I guess it was and it was great. The venue closed down but hopefully this one will be good too.

Only problem is the venue is on Flushing Avenue in Queens, which looks like a PITA to reach by mass transit, and the nearest parking facility is 1 mile away. The venue says there is street parking.

Ah yeah the place it was at last time was like that but there was plenty of nearby street parking, I didn't have an issue. No idea about the area it's in this time though.

This is something recent by The Blue Stones who are a Canadian rock duo. My oldest son actually told me about these guys. He grew up listening exclusively to Rap and Hip Hop, but he has found some rock music that he likes which I’m happy about. This has a very Black Keys vibe to it.
