I’m guessing you haven’t read Posner’s “Case Closed”. The only people who “debunked” the book are those heavily invested in the conspiracy business. The book has widespread acclaim. Who wants to read a book that may be in conflict with your opinions, assumptions , theories ….right? The event happened when I was 5, growing up in the 70s, conspiracy books were all the rage. I leaned toward some sort of conspiracy possibly involving the Mafia for years. I always thought the govt conspiracy theories were ridiculous. I read Posner’s book in the late 90s. It changed the way I thought about the assassination. He did that by intense focus on the main characters in this murder mystery, specifically Oswald and Ruby. After all, we are coming up on 60 yrs and all those massive conspiracies are still intact. There has been no legitimate coming forth by any involved for a possible huge payday. There has been no legitimate death bed confessions of any of “the conspirators”. All we have left is the tragedy and emptiness of Nov 22, 1963.
Not true. Howard Hunt claimed at the end he was "on the bench" as a backup to the big event at the end of his life. This is available for anyone to readIt doesn't really matter as there is so much about evidence of a conspiracy.
Posner’s book changes testimonies as does the wc. But honestly, all it takes is study of a single event to show the wc was wrong. So, for example, research the evidence for Oswald being at the location and taking a shot. It can't be proven. There is no evidence. The wc does a great job in excluding corroborating witness testimony they disagree with or ignoring testimony that doesn't fit their predetermined outcome.

Pure silliness and not even close to being factual ^^^^^

No need to deal with the WC, just use the raw evidence:

This is a rabbit hole I largely stay away from.. but.. I can say this.. we are all ready to believe any number of conspiracies about No WMDs to the Russia Hoax... but somehow, the assassination of JFK is just a pure evil act by a lone gunman? These other "believable" conspiracies involved many many many people.. but one that could be pulled off by just a few is so unbelievable?

I think there may be more actual conspiracies out there than there are conspiracy theories.

so man, SO many inconsistencies and oddities with this that Hellen Kellar calls bs

one few ever mention

I've never heard of any shooter, shooting to kill in short period of time where every second matters for the shot and evac, collecting the casings and setting them upright next to your shooting position. never mind they were never checked for prints

Gov’ment is way too stupid and incompetent to pull off conspiracies. That’s the big issue with crazy conspiracy nuts.

Just a crime of opportunity and luck. The facts make perfect sense.

sorry, there are way too many issues with the 'facts'

the one I just pointed out is so out of touch with the moment, history, and known actions of shooters that it's obvious they were planted

in addition, the rifle in the archives isn't the actual rifle he bought. wooops

All this.. there was no conspiracy.. stuff could just be a continuation of the conspiracy by the organizations that pulled it off.. those orgs that have much more power to influence now. And if the world ever figured out that they killed JFK.. then their more recent moves would be looked at very closely.

And "some of us" think what they have been up to is no bueno. Even if there were no conspiracy then.. just the attention paid to the possibility of, say, the CIA and defense industry killing JFK could have people look more closely at their recent activities. So there is still an incentive to quash any talk of conspiracies... because there ARE conspiracies ongoing.

Yes it is, the exact same rifle matched via ballistics. One thing to keep in mind, there has been well over 100 documented credible attempts to kill presidents. Only 4 were successful. Most of these events come down to luck, timing, and opportunity. That's pretty much it.

Oswald wasn’t at the School Book Depository on 11/22/63? Whatever man. I’m sure you’ve read the WC report and anything else that challenges your conspiratorial mindset. Still no hard, verified evidence of a conspiracy after 60 years. Good luck cracking the case.

yeah nooooo. the rifle in the archives was modified for the 6.5 from a 7.5, Oswald ordered 6.5 that was not modified and the shop confirmed that. You see, some of the Curcano rifles were rerifled for the smaller caliber and the barrel bore that caliber marks but I digress

something simpler

you think Oswald shot 3 times in 8 seconds and then picked up his shells, placed them neatly by the window, standing them up perfectly before rushing off. what shooter does that?

What about the fact that the marine rifle squad noted the scope was never sighted in nor was it tightened as to hold zero.

I shot a lot, no way he's hitting anything with scope not zeroed much less tightened down to the receiver.

Same exact rifle, not even a legit debate on this point. Shells were found on the ground. Dealey Plaza is very small. Easy shot for someone experienced. The scope was in normal working order.

If you factor in the recoil of each shot, the manual working of the bolt for the second & third shots and the task of reacquiring the sight picture in the scope on a moving target . . . not so easy.

The House Select Committee on Assasinations in the 70's came out and said there was probably a conspiracy.

The committee believes, on the basis of the evidence available to it, that Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy. The committee was unable to identify the other gunmen or the extent of the conspiracy.

Lol. Don't put words I'm my mouth. Of course he was..there is ample evidence of his location within a min of the assassination.
The fact is the American people are as unconvinced now as they were in 1963.

Why wouldn't Americans be skeptical till this day, afterall the media coverage they see today, if anything, shows how easily the narrative can be crafted.
