I was at a party yesterday and got into a conversation with a Met's fan...funny thing is that at an event like this, I lose interest in a single conversation with just one person after about 10 minutes. And I kept trying the, gotta go check on how my wife is doing and many other tries to get away. lol But he would just follow. anyway- he got into his opinion about just about everything and he hit on one that I have heard often about Diaz...now that Hensley is here, we don't need Diaz next year. And he is happy about that because Diaz just isn't elite and not that good this year. And I asked him if he remembered the last time he gave up an earned run (2 months ago) and what his ERA would be if he didn't have those back to back games in early April- it would be (0.43) those are such crazy numbers that it baffles me when someone says they would want anyone else. But have to say it again- this BP is sick good. Our setup/closer combo can rival anyone
I don’t know about getting rid of him.

But never feel the game is over when he comes in.

So, they will be playing today? It’s funny because in my fantasy leagues, still shows it as an off day.
Thanks for the exclamation, makes sense now
Yes the game was suspended yesterday and finishing today. As mentioned because this is a "special" game they built in an extra day in case they needed it.

With Pete Alonso just 2 homers away from tying Darryl Strawberry for the franchise record for home runs. I took a look at all the franchise home run leaders across baseball.

There are two teams who have franchise leaders with less homers than the Mets, can you name them?

Rays and Marlins? Maybe the Dbacks. Has to be a relatively newer team.

The time to the use kids was when Mets gave away an entire month going 10-20 by trying to survive using 8 plus bullpen starts

Taylor swings at a pitch so far inside it hit him, but was a strike because he swung.

Hi everybody! Let's play a fun game called "Guess Who Gets Cut?".

Based on today's performance, which of the following pitchers will be off the team tomorrow?

A) 4.0 innings, 7 runs, 7 hits, 2 BB, 3K

B) 4.0 innings, 0 runs, 2 hits, 1BB, 5K

C) 0.2 innings, 5 runs, 3 hits, 2BB, 1K.

Can you guess?

Well Stanek would likely be gone if not for his tenure and the career stats on the back of his baseball card. And Montas got the money so certainly not going anywhere either. What are they gonna do send him down to get right? He was getting rocked when he was down there. 😆

Montas has 17 mil player option
Holmes 3 year 38 mil deal
Dont seem like very prudent moves. No way Montas declines 17 million knowing there's no chance he gets anything near that elsewhere. It seems like there wouldn't be much room to start to incorporate any of the younger arms even next season.

Benge has been wearing out AA since the promotion.

Girton probably the most underrated arm in the system right now. Not sure why they still have him in Brooklyn.

Binghamton is playing in Somerset this week so if any of you want to see our most stacked team in the minors this is the week to do so. Hoping they don't move Tong to AAA until after this week now so I can go out to see him.

What a punch in the balls. As soon as we loaded the bases in the 9th with one out they knew they had us. That's 6 out of 7 on the wrong side and that 7 game winning streak seems a distant memory now. Torrent gave it a good shot. Better than seeing K-nimmo strike out again I guess. Team was so dominant at home earlier in the season.
