Mets love to lose games where it’s because they F-d up a play rather then just a hitter getting a HR or a line drive in the gap

Inning started with Baty whiffing on a ball at him , jumped too high and ball almost went under his glove

Then hitting a batter on a 0-2

As soon as there was the hbp I knew we were in trouble. Seems like its always a light hitter that is in like a 0-2 or 1-2 hole. Seriously how many times has that happened this season? That or a leadoff walk. But the unbelievable record continues. Still winless when trailing after 8 innings. Thats hard to do.

Good to see them knock Sanchez out early!

Pipeline has the Mets with the best pitching prospects in baseball.

You could put the Mets’ Big Three pitching prospects up there with anyone else’s in baseball. We’ve already seen Nolan McLean (MLB No. 37) take his crazy spin rates and breaking stuff to the Majors, and Jonah Tong (MLB No. 44) is the Pitching Prospect of the Year favorite as the Minor League strikeout leader with an ERA below 2.00, thanks to the elite ride on his fastball and his much-improved changeup. Right-hander Brandon Sproat may have fallen out of the Top 100 because of some uneven work at Triple-A Syracuse, but he’s built on his upper-90s velocity as the summer’s gone along and found his rhythm ahead of a potential MLB debut down the stretch. New York’s pitching group has also helped develop breakouts by Will Watson and Jack Wenninger. Even R.J. Gordon has jumped to Double-A and into their Top 30 one year after going in the 13th round. It’s enough to make you wonder what could be next for 2025 picks like prep righties Peter Kussow and Camden Lohman and Tommy John recovery project Peyton Prescott.

And let's not forget Christian Scott.

Mets Farm System Ranking According To ESPN

#1

Preseason rank: 9

The Mets have hovered in the middle third of my farm rankings for years -- until the beginning of this season, when they moved up to ninth. They're now on top, at the peak valuation of this crest of young talent, with a top-heavy system featuring prospects who are largely in the Top 100 and either in Triple-A or the big leagues.

This also isn't a random occurrence or glut of players who are about to graduate from being prospects at once. Ronny Mauricio and Luisangel Acuna already graduated this year, Christian Scott graduated last year, Brett Baty and Mark Vientos the year before that, Francisco Alvarez before that -- and there have also been several midlevel prospects traded out of the system over the past two deadlines: Jesus Baez, Drew Gilbert, and Kade Morris lead the way.

At this time next year, I'd expect six of New York's top eight prospects, if not more, to have either graduated or be up in the big leagues to stay, so this ranking won't last very long, but that's also because the Mets will have a roster teeming with useful big leaguers: the whole reason this list exists.

Jonah Tong call up!! Going to have some fun young pitching to watch the last month plus that's for sure. FB/Change and working on his others but his Curve does have a big drop as well.

You mean, like, right now? That makes no sense as he last pitched on Saturday. Unless they are bringing him to NYC, but not activating him for a few days?

BTW
Has anyone looked at some of our offensive numbers over the past two weeks. I think our team OPS is over .900 with only Pete dragging us down. Lol
Also, the McNeil, Baty, Vientos combo of 2B/3B has all I’ve a sudden become very productive. Looks like our non moves at the trade deadline worked for the offense but killed the pitching.
