Way to go Peterson. A complete game(especially a shutout) is almost like the modern day no-hitter. I think he makes the all-star team this summer.

Amazing that all the advanced analytics that some brought up about him a couple of years ago showed he really wasn’t as good as his numbers..,much less a top of rotation guy

He's totally turned around how he pitches. The numbers from years ago are moot. Not to mention the surgery he had since then helped him.

Some positive signs that the ship may be getting lighted a bit. And Senga and Manea should both be back shortly. Along with Winker. The question is who goes then?

Good question. I guess either Jankowski or Mauricio goes when Winker returns. I'm gonna say Mauricio as he is optionable.

Another key returnee is Raley.

Syracuse tonight:

Sproat - 5 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 8 strikeouts.

Raley - 1 inning, 1 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 1 strikeout.

And in Binghamton: Tong - 5 innings, 4 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, 8 strikeouts.

If you had 3 Met minor league untouchables who would they be?

For me Tong Benge McLean.

If the Mets are willing to trade at the deadline a package starting with Jett and Sprout should get a nice return

I don't want to trade any top tier prospects at the deadline, because I don't think any trade of that magnitude is necessary. I'd prefer one or two relatively cheap rentals.

IMO the time to make any major deals is the off-season, without pressure of deadlines.

Not sure I want Taylor as my everyday CF. Late inning replacement for defense….100%. For me if there is a legit player out there that helps not only this year but next year you have to explore it.

I loved the small-ball comeback yesterday. Too bad it fell short. This emphasis on home runs is misguided, imo.

I look at it this way. They had their ace going up against our patchwork pitching and it took some crazy good defensive plays for them to hold us off.
