Has anyone seen this show on Hulu? It recently released the final episode of S1 a few days ago. Despite it being #1 on Hulu and rave reviews, I have yet to talk to a single person who has also seen it.

I am not really a “show” person, I usually only watch shows when the Mrs begs me to watch something with her, and I’m happy I paid attention to this one. This first season was outstanding! I highly recommend to those who have not seen it. Episode 7 was one of the best episodes of television I have ever watched

Paradise? Don’t know the show. But Buffet nailed it…. Mother Mother ocean, I have heard you call… God help me when I first heard that call, I was well south of 30, It sounded like paradise….I still hear it… north of 60 now. I’d still like to end my life as a pirate! Sadly I don’t have the money to invest in the modern equivalent ……a super yacht. Now if I did, I’d embark a couple of old 32 pounder carronades…just for fun!

I watched it, thought it was good, didn't like last episode, not enough closure, seemed rushes but made sure to set up second season, out searching for survivors. Would have rated it 9/10 based on first 7 episodes. But dropped to 6/10 with last for me.

Entertaining murder mystery around the before and after of an apocalyptic event. Sterling K. Brown is really good in it. Marsden is good enough but it kind of seems like a copy and paste of his role as Kennedy in The Butler with more booze. It's not groundbreaking television but it's been good enough to hold my interest.

I was able to binge it in a few sittings since I stumbled on it at about week 4 or 5.
Solid overall 8 episode season and I will definitely watch the second season.

...I can see it being a show where the second season comes out like 18mo later and fewer people watch it simply because too much time has passed to keep it on their radar or interest.

I agree, but for different reasons. The rushing I could overlook. It’s Xavier being so attentive to detail not questioning how/what happened with his daughter.

I'm really enjoying the show, but the episode pacing leaves much to be desired. Episode 6 was a partial snoozer, then Episode 7 was so chock full of stuff I had to rewind several times. Then Episode 8 was closer to 6. I would've definitely change the order of operations.

And now if its like a lot of series there won't be another Season drop for 6 months to a year or more and then you will have to watch Season 1 all over again because you'll forget the little details that become important. For that reason I don't even start watching a series until its done, over, finished, etc.

First 7 episodes were fantastic, last episode definitely rushed. 10 episodes would’ve been perfect for pacing and a little bit of needed worldbuilding, but I imagine they wanted to dangle the carrot to keep you coming back for S2 which releases in 2026

Geez, thanks guys. I'm about to watch the last episode tonight. Haha

I'm going to tell my wife before we watch it. That way she'll blame you all when it sucks. She already says "did the guys on that stupid forum recommend this show?"
