So, the ole Devil is not a gun guy. Although I do have a few of those. I am a knife guy. It started with kitchen cutlery, and quickly evolved to pocket knives. I am curious as to what the packs favorite pocket knife is?

To answer my own question. After much research. I bought myself an X-Mas present this year. A microtech shadow series 2 that I am in love with.

After many different types of pocket knives, I've settled on what I believe is the best. A spyderco paramilitary 2 crucarta. The blade is a willow shape and thickness tapers aggressively from the hilt to the tip. The blade is tall enough to taper down to a very thin cutting edge. It's cruwear steel, so it holds a workable edge forever if you hit it with a ceramic rod and stropping compound regularly. Cruwear is a super steel that is hard to break, so that fine tip holds up well and is really good at getting splinters out of a finger. Also, there are a ton of fidgety ways to open it. The compression lock is super strong and was designed by a great engineer and founder of Spyderco, Sal Glasser.

I have a knife problem, I’ll admit it. Bench made is my favorite. CRKT for a working knife. If bought a couple of Bokers recently and I’m impressed for the price.

Favorite of all time was a Beretta with the Skeletonized blade and quick assist. I lost it after about a year.

I currently carry 2. A kershaw quick assist and a 3 blade baby Ole Timer.

Ok, so I have always wanted a pocket knife with a skeletonized blade. Like I said I am a knife guy. Any suggestions, or brands to look at that you would suggest?

For all you guys that like traditional folding knives, take a look at Great Eastern Cutlery (GEC). They are made on the old tools and factory that used to make really good knives back in the day and are now brought up to a high standard, but still made the old way. They have better tolerances and are really solid knives that are collectable and usable. Most are carbon steel and take a nice patina. They sell out within minutes so you have to look on Allaboutpocketknives.com and Ebay. They are usually $200-$400 and actually come with a centered blade and properly tensioned spring with half stop, unlike today's Case knives. Mine has a great walk and talk.

I won’t buy anything other than Benchmade since I got my first one a few years ago.
