I have a wide bridge that most glasses will not sit low enough on my face to work properly. As I said I have theMaui Jim rimless which has a spring titanium bridge and temples and fits my face properly. They are the only glasses I have come across with this form. The Costas I had to try on at least 12 different models and the Pompano is the only one that I tried that would fit properly to do what glasses are suppose to do.

SO it is basically true at some point you are paying a brand name premium, but make sure you get a proper fit. Some of these models are only available from the brand names so make the choice that is right for you.

That seems to be a huge misconception held by many consumers (not saying you have it, but many people have it). You can have a high quality polarized lens that does nothing to eliminate UV rays except for the 50% reduction that the polarizer applies to all light frequencies. Sounds great, except since all light will be cut by 50%, your pupil will open up by 50% and the same amount of UV light will be reaching your retina. All a polarized lens does is eliminate horizontally polarized light that is reflected from horizontal surfaces such as roads, lakes, etc. You still have to have significant UV protection, which in many cases is not as advertised as it used to be. UV filtering is not analogous to polarization filtering at all, so don't think the quality of the polarization filter correlates with UV filtering.<div>

And your not a 1-2x a month Salty Dog I would get a cheap pair, like a 30$ pair of Sea Strikers or Berkley, justan opinion.

I have spent days at a time out in the blue water and 1000's of miles round trip. And I have tried them all and it just comes down too how much you

want to spend, how much protection you wantand what is comfortable.

Also, you better get a Retainer Cord to keep them from fallingin the water or the deck.

I hate wearing those things but afterI lost numerous pairs, I got one.
