I like playing Stone Mountain Golf Park.
It's run by a professional golf/resort group. I think they are part of Marriott I think it's something like 80$'s green fees with cart. It's a bit of a haul out there, of course everything in Atlanta takes a long drive.
If you want something quicker and more in-town I'd suggest Charlie Yates right next to East Point Country Club. It's run by the East Point folks as a public course meant to teach in-town kids about golf. Although you rarely ever see kids there. It's a par 70 I think, the area is not the best, not the worst. It's not far from Decatur and there are some good pubs and restaurants to get a bite afterward.
Bobby Jones is in Buckhead but I don't think it is as nice, not a complete goat ranch though. But it will be by far the closest option.
If you really want to drive then I think 'The Frog' in Villa Rica is open but will be the most expensive of all I've listed. And it's like an hour from Buckhead without traffic.
