Back in the 70's - my wife' Dad owned a cantina on the property of Runaway Beach Club in Jamaica. This was mostly for the workers of the resort. Drinks, food and music. My wife was the "resort kid" who spent her days running around the resort and just playing with all the kids that were there on vacation.
Well, what would happen, is that the more famous people to visit the resort would find their way over to her Dad's place to hang out away from the crowds and enjoy local people. Jimmy was one of those people and he would come by the Cantina and would always end up performing. Since it was usually later in the evening when my wife was supposed to be sleeping- she would sneak in when these musicians would be there and hide under a table, thinking her Dad didn't know she was there. Place was less than 1000 SqFt- he always knew she was there.
But she saw him perform there at last 5 or 6 times over the years and said he was just a fun person who always gave her a few dollars when he would see her.
