And yet it started a bunch of crap because you questioned where I read that. You and several others are so Matthew Perry concerned that you lose the real reason for his death. I give a damn about his passing maybe more than most . Some of us have children that age. Maybe not addicted to substances but it hits home some of these posters are nowhere near his age.
“It means exactly that . No drugs found in his system.” That is what you said. I questioned that because it was and continues to be factually incorrect. You can admit you were wrong and continue mourning.

No idiot you questioned my op about what the early reports said. You specifically asked “ where did you read that or se that? You are the clown who was wrong and by your reply it’s not worth my time with probably an under 35 SFB.

You said no drugs were found in his system. There were no early reports that said that, you made it up. NBC news says they haven’t done a toxicology test, proving that i and everyone else who called you out were correct. I’m 43 btw, so you’re wrong yet again!

I’m close with your age only because you and several others are so outraged by hearing the truth about Matthew Perry …a kid who grew up with that show. You will continue like them believing the belief that sober… doesn’t mean cured. Also there were several initial reports which referred to the no drugs in his system. You adult / youngsters live in a very different time. You want to be right … that’s ok just realize that I also mentioned no drugs found. Now go do something constructive . Talk to you later kid.😎

Wow...definitely troubled soul. RIP

People now don't really realize how popular that show

Pretty sure everyone realizes, lol.

My daughter, a college senior, and her friends are really affected by this. She was in tears the other night. It's basically become a right of passage for high school girls to binge watch Friends, so for them, this hits really close and personal.

Sorry your daughter is distraught but I hope these college students understand the life Perry chose led to his death .He will live on in memory and re runs. We all need to do a better job helping to squelch addiction especially those “licensed “ professionals .

Found dead in his jacuzzi. First responders reportedly called for a cardiac arrest. Perhaps had heart attack and slid down underwater and drowned. Had something similar happen to a good friend in a bath tub with an undiagnosed heart murmur at 18 years old.
The man had 30 stints in rehab. 15 major surgeries due to his drug abuse addiction. It was not a heart murmur.

What is quite obvious is some people celebrate things which cause harm and death . Sorry world where priorities have been turned upside down. Too much emphasis placed on Hollywood celebrities who live much different lives than most. Be empathic for the man or woman who is on the street and never was a TV star who wasted his career and gfi ally his life.

Read the room Bob.

This might not be obvious but if you have 30+ posts in two days on the same topic and you get 1 “like”, people are not saying “more of this please”.

Somehow I imagine you will take this post as a reason to post more.

You are correct … I don’t need “likes “ on a subject which is very troubling. The addiction subject is worse than at any point in our past history . If people are offended by telling people what actually caused Matt Perry ‘s demise then you are part of why it continues getting worse. Making excuses for those who abuse hard drugs has never worked or cured anyone. You lecture because it’s the way that society wants us to react . Treat the disease but never completely stop the bad outcomes. Sadly , he passed much too early . If you have seen actual photos of him as recently as this past week Perry looked not in good shape whatsoever. Perry looked like a disheveled 70+ year old on his last legs. At 54 that’s telling. The guy worked hard at his craft, was a good guy but unfortunately he loved his drugs and alcohol more… attempting to ease one’s hurt or pain through this method does not work.

Well maybe he will finally admit he was 1000% wrong on the toxicology being done in world record time 😂😂😂 Fat chance on that!!

She's sad, not distraught, you weirdo. Sorry your wife/parent/kid/relative had an addiction issue/took advantage of you, but bringing your trauma to this board makes you look pathetic. Take a seat, why don't you.

Not a weirdo … just saying what should be said. Your daughter a senior in college you say can be sad which also can be termed to be distraught? Nope fortunately none had addictions to opioids or drugs per se… 2 uncles had alcohol issues after WW II … I did not bring up “trauma “ in any thread but that’s a way for you and several others to make his death appear like it was just a normal drowning in a jacuzzi. The man was in extremely poor shape for 54 or do you buy this notion that beside being sober he recovered his physical health. I highly suspect Perry knew time was not a friend. So dad explain to the kids that they should not let Perry’s death bring them sadness. Tell them to celebrate someone who overcomes adversity in their lives . This thinking that Matt Perry overcame his issues is untrue. It did not make him stronger . If it did he would still be here making his fans laugh instead of tears .
nah, keep him for the laugh
Bob's the TKR version of SNL's Roseanne Roseannadanna,
without the nevermind 😉
I’ve had REAL on ignore for probably a year now.

Sad. I was never a fan of Friends, but my gf/now wife was and still watches re-runs, and I gotta admit he and Matt LeBlanc were a great comedy combo on the show.
I watched a few episodes but never found it funny.. The males actors were all soy. I gotta be careful the next time I take a bath. It could be deadly like gardening & wearing socks to bed

Oh I thought the show was bad, a weak and boring version of Seinfeld. But a lot of fall-down laughing scenes with Chandler and Joey imho, at least in many of the episodes I had to suffer through lol.

Probably too early to say. He was great at what he did and it was sad to see that clip where he said he wanted to be remembered for helping others with addiction more than his work on Friends. He won’t get that chance, but maybe some of the things he established supporting that cause will grow and live on.

FRIENDS episodes took about 6 hours to film
They had to move sets and cameras around, do multiple takes etc.
There was alive audience but it wasn't like acting on broadway.
Actors for something All in the Family were good but Perry's character was pretty thin - just hamming things up. I thought he was the least interesting character
