Always get someone out of town. That's what I do. You never know if the inspector is buddies with builder/seller.

Mike Dunaway, RBI Inspections....Does his job the right way and is a great guy. I know him through work and have never had issues with his reports.

I had someone who came from 3 counties over. Wasnt a big deal. He was familiar with code by time he inspected.

As a mortgage banker living in Starkville/ those guys are all good. Along with billy doughty who I haven't seen mentioned. Ive seen a lot of inspections from Billy in recent months. Would be good w any of them.

Sam's no longer in Starkville, but that man was the best. He not only would do it, he'd take you to every spot and even show you his tricks. Saved me a FORTUNE in one home who's roof had to be replaced and had water damage that only infrared cameras could see.

I'll forever be in debt to him for steering me to the right home.
