No. Because they want to craft an identity of sorts of their own. Look at radio and TV broadcasts. The CRTC (FCC equivalent) requires stations to carry a significant potion of Canadian programming.
They do not want to become the 51st-60th states, nor do they want the US to become 50 more Canadian provinces.
