We went to Las Vegas in April after about a five year hiatus. I was absolutely floored by the food and drink prices. When coffee from Starbucks is the most economical thing you can purchase then there is a problem.
Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered.

They’ll probably start price correcting to get some business back.

Had Desoto County legalized gambling first, this story would have turned out differently.
Maybe a little but I think some of the same factors would have affected the casinos if they were there instead of Tunica. The recession, floods, and added casinos in neighboring states would have put the same pressure on them.

And people forget....at the time Tunica was developed, casinos could only be on the water. Hindsight is always easy but in 1992 nobody knew what the headwinds were going to be in the future. Those casinos were a pain in the *** for most to get there but they were ridiculously successful for a period of time. They've just run their course.
