Hopefully you head an hour west of Cork and go to Killarney. It was our favorite place in Ireland. The national park is badass and it’s a great small city.
I did this twice when I was stationed at Holy Loch in the 1970s. If you can get this, I believe this would be the best experience there weather cooperating?

County Whiklow is where I stayed at a B&B. Ireland is the most Greenest, Cleanest Most Hospitable country I have ever visited. Make sure ya go to Waterford. If u have a long time in Scotland… take the 5 Hr train to London. Some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see. Enjoy your trip.
