OT: SEC Ref?

[akaukswoosh]

[docholiday51]

Wow,not sure I've ever seen anything like that in organized basketball.Oh wait I forgot about some of the Duke games I've watched.Duke is working on getting the offending kid to reclassify as we speak.

[*Fox2Monk*]

That kid deserves an *** beating at least and arrested if not.

[JonathanW_rivals]

Would love to hear what happens to that punk-***. At a minimum suspended for the rest of the season.

[playmorezeppelin_rivals181042]

I heard he already signed with Kansas

[tbubba9896]

They're supposed to review every ref in every game. The black ref didn't see it but the white ref at the bottom of the screen was looking right at it.

[MWes11]

Should never be allowed to play in an organized event again. Have fun playing on the asphalt for the rest of your life.

F*cking POS.

[struggler]

yeah - dang - that is not basketball - that is assault. Kid was defenseless and never saw it coming - not like incidental contact fighting for a board. I'd have the guy arrested.

That was Ron Artest worthy - really threw his shoulder and elbow into it. Damn

He did call the foul, wonder what happened in the next few frames.

Wow. What a gutless coward. That could have done some serious damage. It may have.

[JC43]

I think that's worse than a punk move. That's criminal.

[Ryan Lemonds Hair]

No way that is an SEC referee or they would have called it an offensive foul.

[Pickle_Rick]

Not defending SEC referees but...
1) the official didn't see it because he was not looking at it. How many of you can see what's occurring behind you?
2) The foul was called by the official who was looking.
I don't know what else to say except that there's enough stuff that occurs to be genuinely outraged about than a ref being human. One would be the offending player, and his coach. Apparently Gracie Allen was just a piker when it comes to cheap shots.

[LadyCaytIL]

Is that a hate crime?

[Cardsstink]

After some digging, his name is Kewan Platt and guess what his major is? Criminal Justice. LOL! No joke, google it.

[MWes11]

Props to the school for taking immediate action.

[Cardsstink]

@AnarchoNeoLuddite - What say you to this video? And 1 or play on?

[Cardsstink]

Where's the "and one"??!! Dude drained that sheet.

[Col. Angus]

And 1

[GonzoCat90]

Oh come on. The eye socket is part of the ball.

[RoyKent]

[Cat_Incognito]

Higgins would call that an offensive foul, and then flip his hair up while sashaying back down the court.

[LadyCaytIL]

And one my butt... that should be and 3.... two more for the intentional flagrant ufc fight

[DelkBowl]

Should be prosecuted.

[richbrookstomato]

Oh come on. The eye socket is part of the ball.

Not to diminish what this kid did, but your post is hilarious.

The player that threw that cheap shot should never play again and should face some legal ramifications for outright slugging a defenseless kid.

[EliteBlue]

Props to the school for taking immediate action.

Indefinite Suspension??? So that means 1 game right? Paging Coach K......

[LadyCaytIL]

If K was coaching him.... he’d get a steak dinner and two people cutting the steak for him

Just like the guy in Post 11 said? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

[anon_9qtxg60vqzy0y]

[WildMoon]

Wtf...

How dumb/crazy do you have to be to do that?

[Comebakatz3]

That isn't even a cheap shot, it is straight assault.

[HerrosHeroes]

That isn't even a cheap shot, it is straight assault.

Said the same thing. Dude needs arresting and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Kid has been barred from campus and suspended indefinitely (not the Coach K definition)

[TomTraubertsBlues]

People throw the word "thug" around a lot in sports. That guy is a legit thug and should be arrested and charged with assault.

I asked on the main board if he already signed with puke yet, I got no confirmation. He must be waiting till spring

[*CatinIL*]

I'm sorry, that person is nothing but TRASH and should be treated as such. Throw him in a room with some pissed off pit bulls.I despise garbage like that. I'm guessing nothing will happen to him.

[DS849]

DAMN!!!!!!Assault charges should be filed

Not strong enough. He should literally be arrested for assault. Go do that to a random person anywhere and the same would happen to you.

[oboroCATfan]

LOL. The referee in the bottom right of the frame is looking right at the play and DOESN'T EVEN CALL A FOUL. Who knew Higgins A. reffed D-III and B. was as prejudiced against that road team as he is against Kentucky.

The ref needs to be suspended as well.

He actually calls the foul immediately in the video I saw. He raises a fist in the air after he had both arms raised showing the three was good and then there was a foul.
