On past Springsteen tours, he would definitely take requests. As a matter of fact, IIRC, there was a part of the show where he would ask people to hold up their signs, and he would pick a song. Some people, however, were way out of control with this, holding up fairly large sandwich board signs above their heads for most of the show without regard for the people behind them being able to see.Always got a chuckle at out of people holding signs with requests. The performer just picks out a sign for the song that was already on the setlist.
Funny moment at a James Taylor show once. I guy yelled and held up a sign. JT looked at him, picked up the setlist and and said, “Yeah. I have it right here. It comes later. I even wrote it down so I wouldn’t forget”.
Saw Buddy 5-7 years ago in Red Bank, and he puts on a terrific show.Buddy Guy hasn't postponed any of his tour dates and he's like 90 friggin' years old.
Just sayin'.
BTW / speaking of which - if anyone is interested in Buddy Guy on June 16th in AC, let me know.
A cover of a Patti Smith song Because the Night? He wrote the song she did the cover.
They did a very noble thing and good on them. Shame on Bruce. The Cure are coming to the area and they wanted dynamic pricing scratched. They had some tickets going for $20 but Ticketmaster fees were costing more than that. Ticketmaster agreed to return some fees after Cure slammed fees.
I did that for the Light of Day show in January, and no issues.I have a pair of tix for the G'boro NC show next Saturday but may not be able to attend. Thinking of listing them on Ticketmaster. Anyone have experience with this? Never did this on that platform, only StubHub.

Have done this a few times and easy to do and a good process.I have a pair of tix for the G'boro NC show next Saturday but may not be able to attend. Thinking of listing them on Ticketmaster. Anyone have experience with this? Never did this on that platform, only StubHub.
I was just about to buy a pair and when I got to payment and saw an additional $100 for fees etc I just decide f no I'm not spending $500 for a couple of tix for a 3 hr show. Regardless. Too many better things to do with that cash. They did a very noble thing and good on them. Shame on Bruce.
That's pretty much where I am at. I was offered tix for shows, but they were around $500/ticket, and the seats were not that great. For that amount, they should let me sit on the stage.I was just about to buy a pair and when I got to payment and saw an additional $100 for fees etc I just decide f no I'm not spending $500 for a couple of tix for a 3 hr show. So... While I listed my tickets for resale on Ticketmaster and got a confirmation of the listing, where and when are the tickets listed? I don't see them or any listed. I see a "get in queue" feature. Any insights? This is for the March 25 show in Greensboro NC. ????Have done this a few times and easy to do and a good process.
I don't have any tickets listed so I can't go and look but do o you not see a feature like "your listings" under your tickets?So... I could be wrong but I think if you are logged in to your account while looking at tickets for sale you will not see your own tickets available. Log out and see is you see them listed.So... Thanks. Had to clear my cache, then login as a buyer and join the queue, wait for my turn to view listings, and "viola," there I found my listed tickets. But, wow, TM assessing $39 per ticket to sell. And of course the actual buyer will pay a service fee as well. THIS IS ONE HELLUVA RACKET. LOL.I don't have any tickets listed so I can't go and look but do o you not see a feature like "your listings" under your tickets?
Also did you go in and look to see if your seats are available when just searching for tix? (I know they don't add how specific seat numbers).
Just looked again and they should be under your Account tab "tickets I'm selling"
They also take a short time to list so not sure how long ago you did it. But certainly I don't recall it being anything near an hour.
Wow. I do NOT recall ever paying them a fee for this. Must be new and yeah. This crap is out of control.Thanks. That's why I raised my price to make sure I came out with no money out of pocket. IIRC, I had mine listed on StubHub, but they were "sold" through TM. I actually made $80 after all of the usurious fees StubHub and Ticketbastard charges. That was not my intent (I swear!!Thanks. I attended 33 shows in 10 different cities on the 1999-2000 reunion tour. I was addicted! I remember seeing the band in Vegas on Memorial Day weekend. Then my brother and a couple friends called me, "Hey! We found round-trip airline tix from Newark-to-Atlanta for a 100 bucks! You in?" Of course, I was in! LOL Flew to Atlanta on Saturday morning (June 3) and came home on Monday (June 5). Got to see two shows in ATL (6/3 and 6/4). First-time performance ever of American Skin (41 Shots) on 6/4. Vegas one weekend, Atlanta the next. Crazy times!Apparently Bruce and Little Steven were quite impressed by the Greensboro crowd energy. From the Greasy Lake website:

For those who religiously follow Bruce and the tours, there is a lot of discussion about the "static" setlist. Little Steven has said that the setlist is supposed to be telling a story over their entire catalog, and there will be few surprises at upcoming shows. I remember back around the time of the reunion tour and The Rising tour some people going to 10 plus (some more than 20) shows on the tour. I think my max may have been 5-7.
Still do not have tix for any of the shows, and I am not terribly motivated to try. The thrill is gone for me. Was offered resale tix for $400, and it was a hard pass.I attended 33 shows in 10 different cities on the 1999-2000 reunion tour. I was addicted! I don't expect the setlist to change significantly until they start performing in stadiums this summer.

Thanks for amping me up.We were there as well.
Great show, had a decent view despite being on the rearish corner of the stage on the 2nd level.

All I can say is the amount of people I heard complaining trying to find their seats was hysterical. Like you bought tickets and they tell you the row, why are you shocked when you ask the usher where row X is, and he's like yeah just keep climbing those stairs until you are at the top.
Lots of people who also extremely struggled with the stairs there, I get Bruce crowds skew older, but there were people who'd you think they needed a Sherpa to make it up 10 rows.
Also I was shocked how empty the pit area was. There was a lot of room towards the back, I figured they would've been like sardines in there.

Only disappointing thing were the people in front of us who stood pretty much the entire time, despite the fact they had what were essentially front row seats.
You are partly responsible too for my impulse purchase, and I thank you for that.A couple of days ago I saw someone say again the only limited resource you have is time.. (or something like that). And that night I said.. ok I'll talk another look because I wasn't paying $400-500 each to go. .
Grabbed two tix 3rd row end seats 200 level direct view for meadowlands Fri Sept 1. $200 each all in. (Minus 3% Rakuten rebate lol).
This time this price I had to go.
I think I was feeling too loose (thanks Tito's) and booked my summer concert series all in one night.. Daryll hall (Bethlehem) , Bruce, switchfoot (Quakertown), and Steve Hackett (Collingswood). Lawn seats for Dave Matthews in Camden pending![]()
Lost track of face value, but I owe you too for posting this.UBS Arena tickets April 11 are reselling for about face value.
Debated this much of the evening. Snagged a pair of tickets 7 rows up from the side of the stage for $313/each on April 9 at UBS. April 11 did not work for us, and it seemed like tix were a little cheaper for April 9, perhaps because it is Easter. Excited to be going--would have suffered FOMO if I had passed. Not sure I will go to a stadium show.Still do not have tix for any of the shows, and I am not terribly motivated to try. The thrill is gone for me. Was offered resale tix for $400, and it was a hard pass.
Go to The Cure gig in May ($100 now on Stub and probs $50-70 the days before)
I've seen Bruce and it was great - The Cure is right up there with him as live shows go.
They might even be better (spesh with Clarence gone)
Sometimes people say (about a band) "they sound as good live as in recordings."
The Cure sounds better because they are like magicians with layers and acoustics
There's very strong drum with three guitars (they are a guitar band - often overlooked) and the chimes, cymbals, keyboards all layered in - with clear lyrics on top of all.
Band has a lot of clarity between parts but nothing is alone.
I rarely put The Cure on at home but live they are amazing
Its hard to pick-up all the parts in recordings but the one below gets some of the layers.
"Open" rocks and is about having to go to music industry events to meet and drink with strangers and parasites etc
I really don't know what I'm doing here
I really think I should've gone to bed tonight
But just one drink and there are some people to meet you
I think that you'll like them, I have to say, we do tonight
I promise in less than an hour, we will honestly go
Now why don't I just get you another
While you just say hello
Yeah, just say hello
Just say hello
A band I have wanted and never seen. Considering.. especially for that price but getting the wife to go? God should have let us have a plus one for entertainment.
