Some of the worst play calling I've witnessed in a long time. Having Vick throwing touch passes on third/ fourth down and short on two consecutive drives in OT when they have a solid back is mind boggling. Add in that the kicker had a bad day and you end up with a head scratching loss...

I feel like the steelers always have bad luck with their kickers. They quite often have kickers missing meaningful FG's over the last however many years.

The wind really swirls in the end of the stadium that is somewhat open; usually not good for kickers.

Fire Tomlin...that is one of the funniest comments I have seen in awhile
Steelers have had 3 coaches in their history (I believe)

"Ground" Chuck Knoll
Bill Cowher
Mike Tomlin

I like to think that their success has been hiring the right coach and the commitment to stay with coach even during the down years,

Horrible play calling - I could tell at the end of regulation they were playing not to lose.

You're pretty far off. The Steelers have been around since 1933. Noll wasn't that old. He took over the team in 1969. There were 13 coaches before him. Only two of those 13 had winning records. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pittsburgh_Steelers_head_coaches

And it was "Ground Chuck" Knox, not Noll.

Tomlin did not have a good game last night, but he's earned a much longer leash than one game. Scobee, on the other hand... I would be surprised if the Steelers were not bringing in kickers before their next game to audition for the job.

Vick had a very Laviano-like final passing line: 19-26 for 124 yards and one TD; four rushes for 21 yards.

I know.. I felt immediate connection to Steelers fans. Between Schiano and Flood, we have seen that, protect the lead and run out the clock stuff all too often.
