This question came up on their Q&A. What's the worst movie you've ever paid money to see? Not a lot of sports going on since everyone is sick of basketball so I figured this could be interesting. Mine would have to be House of the Dead. I should have know since Uwe Bowl directed it.

Eta: I forgot about Bruno. Only movie I've ever got up and left in

The General's Daughter

Came out in the summer of '99, the year I graduated high school. A lot of us were scattering across to different colleges so we pretty much tried to hand out as much as possible and $2 Tuesdays at Parkway Place was awesome. I'm telling you this because I feel like I have to explain to people why we went to such a ****** movie.

1. Freddie Got Fingered 2. The Happening and 3. Autumn in New York

The trifecta of terrible movies. FGF was awful. I let M. Night full me one last time when I went to see the Happening. Watching Richard Gere and (I think) Wynona Rider die of cancer in Autumn in New York was a college date night gone wrong. I did hook up after Autumn in New York which is the only reason its not number 1.

1. Bicentennial Man-thank god I went so long ago it has left my memory but I do remember walking out and literally asking for my money back. Only time I have ever done that. Ticket person just laughed at me.
1A. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-Thank god I was able to fall asleep halfway through, to salvage the second of what would have been a wasted hour of my life.

You suck at life.

ETA: I realize now that "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" was the remake with Johnny Depp, which I never saw. So the criticism was overly harsh.

Pay It Forward

I have never been that pissed off at a movie.

To this day, I still want to kill the the script writer for the ending of that movie. Quite frankly, the same goes for Million Dollar Baby. Seriously, WTF?

Somehow my wife and I ended up w no kids one Friday night and there was nothing worth a crap on. But Ted was on and I talked her in to watching it. Big mistake. There were a few spots that were a little funny but all in all it was awful. She wanted to leave in the middle of it and when it was over I wish we had too.

Any holiday-themed "romantic dramedy" with Ashton Kutcher. Not my choice.

Iron Eagle III - Aces

Not even close. I challenge anyone to try and watch the whole movie and come back and NOT say that was the worst movie ever.

Hell, I saw Leonard Part 6 in the theater. AND Weekend at Bernies.

Though Weekend doesn't even touch the list of worst movies. I have a problem where I can't stop watching a movie after 20 minutes or so. No matter how awful, I have to know how it ends.

This is why I watched all of The Crow: Part 4. With the kid from Terminator as The Crow, and Tara Reid and David Boreanz as the bad guys. Not in a theater, but I still count it as the worst movie I've ever seen.

Cat In The Hat. Fell asleep. ASLEEP! In a theater full of children. Grand Canyon held the spot until that abomination came out.

I was about to blast you, but remembered Iron Eagle III is pretty bad. That's the one with the old planes, right?

However, I thought Iron Eagles II was the coolest thing ever when I was about 9 years old.

1) Little Nicky - not even awkwardly funny

2) Mario Bros The Movie - probably the worst ever but I was excited when I was a kid to go see it

3) Pain & Gain - would have left but I was kinda drunk so I just fell asleep. Maybe it got better but the 1st half was pretty awful.

That one's mine, too.
I was home from college when it came out, and had gotten some pretty good reviews, plus it was refreshing to see an "independent" film playing at the local cinemaplex. So my dad and I went to go see it. About 3/4 of the way through it, he blurts out "you owe me five bucks." A lady a few seats down from us leans forward and says "man, you ain't lying" and then looks at her date.

They should have paid me to watch that crap. I left with a splitting headache and vertigo from that damn camera shaking.
