I have only seen clips on YouTube, but it seems extremely good and on target for what Star Trek is supposed to be.

While I won't say it surpasses the highest highs of TNG or DS9, the fact that these seasons only have 10 episodes means that almost of all them are great.
Imagine if TNG and DS9 just picked the 10 best episodes of each season and only released those.

I'm tempted but, I'm going to try to wait until the whole season is released. Plus, I have to finish Justified.
I didn't hate Discovery as much as I anticipated based on y'all's recommendations when I asked where to start again. But man, do they talk about feelings a lot in that series. I don't miss Burnam as much as I do the Doctor and Engineer.
SNW is far and away better by leaps and bounds. Spoiler Alert: This Episode took me completely by surprise and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thought I would give it a shot for so many on here have raved about it in other threads through the years. I'm at the end of Season 3.
I agree. It’s really well-written and it’s got a really good mix of characters, action, and scifi. It kind of reminded me of why I like Star Trek.
I’m glad we sufficiently lowered your expectations on Discovery that you enjoyed it!
I kind of binged the first season and seeing Michael Burnam have an impassioned soliloquy while every one on the bridge looks at each other newly inspired in every episode was just too much for me. Season 2 was pretty good though. The Enterprise crew made it much better. I bailed when they
went to the future and immediately demanded to be sent on missions without thinking they should at least maybe catch up on centuries of history before just darting out into the wild
Michelle Yeoh was the best thing about that show.
