I am far from one of the newer people and I do not know what you mean. Saw a relevant post about their suspending one of their better players and actually think this should make kids reconsider going there due to a very harsh disciplinary decision.
I don't see a problem posting this story. Some interesting aspects to the story covered by Sports Illustrated.
Sounds like not a lot of evidence to suspend Allen for the season, and the typical two sided story where there is no clear indication of what happened. To add to it, Allen's father was murdered the following Valentine's Day. Give the kid a break and let him play, IMO. He offered reasonable alternatives to a full suspension, which is unduly harsh and will likely result in his being unable to attend Syracuse. Even the Onondaga County District Attorney thinks the suspension will be successfully challenged.
All the more reason to not send your kid to Syracuse.
Alijah Clark, former RU player, has chimed in with support for Allen.
Forgot about Duce Chestnut. He transferred to LSU. But goodness, Duce, what the heck are you saying? How the hell is Syracuse your second home when you left for LSU? Huh?
“I just wanted to state I believe in my whole heart that LeQuint is being done unfair and an unfair trial,” Chestnut told the Courier-Post. “I always considered Syracuse my second home and always will be my second home, I’ll always have love for Syracuse.”
The other reason not to go there is because it’s Syracuse
This is the correct answer. Tundra.
Most Rutgers fans have a deep dislike for the Orange. Once we moved to another conference, a point was made to never speak of trash. Their fans go out of their way to attack Rutgers every chance they get. When you post something about SU, it seems to attract a few of their idiots, and all hell may break loose. Don't poke the ugly dog. It's not worth it.
IDK, I have no strong feelings for or against Cuse the team. Babers seems like a decent guy who has a tough task to bring Cuse back to the days of glory. Yeah, their fanbase has a fixation and hatred with Rutgers and Schiano, but I kind of feel sorry for those that root for the Orange. Pity is the correct word. But, as discussed above, this is an interesting story.
One wonders given their recent history of poor performance and what
@newell138 said, why do 4 star and high 3 star players from NJ go there?

Frankly, Temple is a better choice, or any other AAC school. At least with Temple, you are in Philadelphia, which is a far better destination than playing in Tundra?
