I don't know how good or bad he'll be for Duke but do you think they paid a ton of NIL for him. I'd guess probably not. Maybe he's gotten his NIL from Texas and now playing time and opportunity are more important to him and with Leonard off to ND, Duke gives him that chance. Everyone is different and even with the same person from one time to the next motivation can change. That's how you have to look for potential contributors if you don't have as much.

Is he the guy who was Temple HC for 3 days then left for Miami?
Yes. It was actually 18 days. And there were people that said the system was fair to players.

Ironically, schiano could have done this to us in 2001 . But didn’t push the issue when Davis left. Rumor was if schiano showed interest the job was his. After Alvarez backed out

This kid would not make any sense for us to have gone after- he still needs a year to develop. Very raw- if we are to bring in a transfer QB- he has to be game ready and 1 and done.

There are so many QB that are still in the portal. It’s like musical chairs and which team still has a starting QB position available. The P5 are almost taken. I think we have a 50%/50% chance with the MINN QB but there’s other that have higher ratings from lower schools.

I think Kirk sees something in the Athan kid he likes having worked with him before.
