Location Panama City Beach, Florida. The lawn is Bermuda, this crap came out of nowhere and has 20% of my yard. I've put down a weed and feed and it got thicker.

yes, it's doveweed. Atrizine will also smoke it. you'll have to hit it a few more times to completely get rid of it, though. it's pretty resilient

I may be wrong here but doesn't it thrive/ takeover when you cut your grass too short. That seemed to be the case at my house. That and too much water

It could also be Alexander grass weed...I live in Jacksonville and have the same weed that you posted in my yard, and have been told its Alexander, but they could have been wrong. I have St. Augustine and have not been successful in spraying it, but it is pretty easy to pull up. I have been able to manage it pretty well by just staying on top of it and pulling it as soon as I see it anywhere in the yard. And I try really hard to not mow over it. The problem I have is that it all comes from my backdoor neighbors yard, and they are they type that doesnt care about having weeds in their yard.

Water the crap out of your yard and then get out there and pull it up. It comes up pretty easily from the central root....it just spreads out wide.

I have it as well. MSMA will do a number on it. No more than an ounce to a gallon. I saw someone else mention Atrazine and I would caution heavily against using Atrazine on Bermuda.

In my experience the MSMA just bruised it and didn’t kill it. It took a couple applications of msma and dicambia(celecius) to actually kill it.

Celsius will smoke it.....Celcius is probably the best bermuda grass herbicide on the market....it's higher than giraffe's booty but worth it....I think they sell individual packets for single use tank mixes

Mix Celcius and Certainty at the high rate and smoke other lawn weeds

Any thoughts of mixing Celsius and MDMA? I bought both and waiting for them to be delivered.

Another great herbicide for your lawn is Cavalcade 4L. It’s a preemerge you spray early in the spring. The main issue I’ve had in my yard has been crab grass and Dallisgrass and I sprayed Calvalcade this spring and have had zero crab grass all summer. I didn’t have to spray my yard at all midseason for crab grass.

I've killed Dallisgrass with Over the Top II Grass Killer, and when it didn't die it slowed the growth and stopped seed heads from forming, followed by the Celsius/Certainty combo. It takes 3-4 applications about 3 weeks apart. My non-sodded centipede backyard is full of weeds. Front yard is fine

im not sure about that mixture....it is not something i would try....i don't use MSMA anymore due to how bad it burns it up....mainly bc my wife hates the way it looks and fusses at me that I don't know what im doing.....what i like about celsius is that the active ingredients found in it are also found in some of the top corn herbicides for row crop farmers.....also has dicamba for broad leaf support. But make sure you read the label correctly on what you need to add to it to make it effective or it won't work. I would also look to add a fall pre emerge for winter weeds and another one for the spring....

Any tips on Torpedo grass in my centipede lawn in Pensacola? I went scorched earth and glyphosated the whole area killing everything planning to reseed in the spring.

However, I know it will be an ongoing issue so i need some tips that don't require scorched earth. I tried Sethoxydim with mild success
