She's awfully eager to come between Hart and Cohle... One of her daughters saw something when she was younger, hence the 5 male dolls gathered around the naked barbie. Her father is wealthy and powerful and lives out in the bayou where the Courir de Mardi Gras (I had to look it up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Courir_de_Mardi_Gras ) festivals take place. I'm going to bet at this point that she at least has knowledge of the rituals.

Rust and the 5 beer can figurines?... I think he knew the perps would be watching his interview tape and he made the 5 beer can people as a sign for them. He knocked one over signifying to them that he knows there are still 4 at large.

The opening scenes between Hart and Chole in episode 7 were incredible... Particularly their conversation while sharing a beer.

I think the new detectives Gilbough and Papania (Brother Mouzone and Laroy Wayne) are about to come to the forefront.

I won't be surprised if both Marty and Rust die in the finale.

Marty is always talking about the answers being right under his nose, the detective's curse.

We now know the identity of the green eared spaghetti monster. Somebody on here guessed it. I've been thinking Maggie knows something the last couple of episodes. Rust carved out the beer can men with one having the yellow star from the Lone Star logo visible on the head of one. We are yet to know the identity of The Yellow King. I'm thinking Marty's daughter knows who it is.

I'm expecting one (or both) to die. This show is set up for one of those frustrating endings.

They still have a lot of ground to cover in the finale; I hope it doesn't disappoint, which I don't think it will.

Up until last night's episode I was reading everything I could about the show. Now I am going to do my best to avoid anything that might spoil next Sunday.

I don't think your idea is that far fetched. It could explain the older daughter if Maggie has been involved, or even subjected to view or participate in one of those crimes.

I still think that the resolution will make a lot of people unhappy. Stories about big conspiracies like this tend to have the bad guys win and the good guys lose... even their lives.

The performances by Matthew and Woody were awesome last night. Everyone talks about Matthew but I think Woody caught up with him last night. I hope they help produce the next installment.

It is really refreshing to see a television story that I cannot guess the ending right before the final episode.

Did you notice Maggie's big new rock?

She obviously remarried into money. They never hinted at who it could be. I wonder if its the esteemed Senator (former governor) Tuttle...

I'd like to know who she married as well. That house she's living in is pretty damn nice, too. Maggie knows something, or at least has some idea, that she's not telling.

I want next Sunday to get here so we can finally put all the pieces together, but man I don't want it to be over with either. They set the bar quite high for future seasons/storylines.

I think this is the most likely scenario.

She isn't directly involved but may have turned a blind eye to her daughter's abuse, knowingly or unknowingly.

I had been thinking Audrey only saw some abuse, but after the New Orleans guy's interview, I'm leaning towards there being more to it. Her actions align very well with his story and his thinking it was a dream.

my few issues with the story

So episode 7 ends with us seeing the scar faced man. That is the same guy Rust sees mowing the lawn and he talks to at the school in episode 3. I went back to that episode and they only show his left side and he has a scraggly beard which would cover up the scarring we see in episode 7. So they give an out that Rust never looked at him very well. However, I do have an issue in that all these people see this scar faced man, but no one has a name or does he show up in some picture that has nothing to do with a crime. You would have thought they would have something on him at this point. Otherwise it is as good a suspense drama as can be and has very no gaping holes in the logic.

The other thing that has seemed to go to the back is the supernatural theme they kind of hinted at in the beginning with the birds in the spiral shape that keeps showing itself. They have kind of really taken all that off the table.

I attributed the birds to a hallucination from Rust's synesthesia. Not sure if that's right or wrong, just hope for a more rational reason than supernatural occurrence.

Well the spiral thing is still going on

He was mowing a spiral at the end.

and if I had to guess (and based on the show I'll probably be wrong) I'd agree Cole may be dying. Talked about having to get this dome before moving on to something else, hoping there's nothing more after you die, etc.

As far as people knowing the man with scars and the assumption that he would have been previously connected to a crime, keep in mind that scar face is the son of a retired sheriff. That and all signs point to there being multiple people within the law enforcement community in that area that assist the cult members in keeping things covered up. When the governor/senator is involved to some extent, anything can happen and be kept quiet.

The only thing that would limit both dying is Nic P. said in an interview he would love for the guys to come back and do another season because he could write Rust Cohle for the rest of his life. Of course they could do stuff from the seven years in between when they worked together.

I think Maggie's dad is the Yellow King. He has blond hair for an old guy. Maggie is a ***** in real life. We haven't seen the level of cuntitude she is capable of reaching yet. Plus she works at a hospital and she has easy access to drugs. Audrey, the Harts oldest daughter was subjected to some weird **** when she was younger for sure.

Woody needs to do away with the Benjamin "Bubba" Blue lip **** from Forest Gump. That takes away from performance.

I think Maggie's dad is the Yelliw King.

I still say too easy.

Maggie is a ***** in real life. We haven't seen the level of cuntitude she is capable of reaching yet.

With this I agree 100%.

Audrey, the Harts oldest daughter was subjected to some weird **** when she was younger for sure.

This was revealed after episode 7.

Couple of really interesting things in this new article y'all might want to see.

Entitled "Form And Void," naturally not much has been revealed about how it ends, and not even press are getting send an advance copy. It's going to be one of the major TV events of the year, and all we have to go on right now is this logline: "An overlooked detail provides Hart and Cohle with an important new lead in their 17-year-old case."

Agreed with her dad being too easy but the writer grew up in the area where TD takes place and he was subject to how crooked Louisiana politics can be. Where ever this ends it will end with really important people being guilty of a lot if horrible ****. The Green-Eared Spaghetti Monster dude has just been a pawn in this so far. Kind of like letting the village retard have the sloppy seconds after the real people have had there way.

I like how all the people I wanted to think had a part in the murder are all coming out to be good people, like the tent revival preacher.

I still think the "You ever been hunting Marty?" Line was the best line in the series so far

"I'm not talking about sitting in a tree house waiting to ambush a buck come to sniff your gash-bait, I'm talking about tracking"

Damn what a line.

I will also add that, to my knowledge, we still haven't visited the place where the crimes were committed. There should be a place where stones are in the woods if I recollect correctly. That will probably be revealed in Ep 8 and I'm thinking it will be on Maggie's dad's land.

remind me, where is her father's house/land?

The previews show them in a creepy, dark place.

They have a very nice house on the bayou in Episode 2 I believe. Nice big house with straight access to the water. They were at Maggie's parent's house when Maggie and her red-headed mom were having it out. Also Maggie's dad spent a lot of time talking to Marty about how children looked these days. Like he obsessed a lot about the appearance of today's children and found it difficult to find any that didn't have all the facial jewelry to be appropriate for......I don't know..........maybe sacrificing or something?

Could the stones be those tombstones, where Spaghetti face was cutting the grass in a circle at the end of the last episode? Was deep in the woods...

Most cemeteries are above ground in S. LA and S. MS so I think Reggie Ledeaux would have accurately described such to Dori's ex-husband in prison. I think the stones are some kind of sacrificial place deep in the bayou. Away from roads. Probably only approachable by boat. Kind of like Stonehenge.

The Yellow King could also symbolize the School vouchers guy that is the 1st cousin of the governour and head of ministries, Billy Lee Tuttle. He also formed the charity that gives to the state police so he has positioned himself to be hard to take down.

As a medical person that anatomically is your left. That's the way I see the world. If a person was standing in front of you, facing you, which would be his left arm?

Just thought I made a big break in the case

But ended up spending the last half hour figuring out which hand had the thumb and forefinger make the L. The mirror behind the bar only made carcosa that much more illusive. Hopefully I'm not involved and death truly is the end.
