So many rivers to choose from for tubing (around Hattiesburg area).. the ones I've heard are Okatoma, Black Creek, Bogue Chitto.. Anyone got suggestions? Also, any clue to finding water temp/level? Thanks for any help..
The Okatoma is the way to go with regard to scenery. The Bogue Chitto is the way to go if you want good old fashioned (slightly trashy) fun. Lots of LSU and USM undergrads there. Which means drunk girls in bikinis... Which means... Well, you see where I'm going with this.
Black Creek gets my vote - I have been canoeing it for close to 20 years and I still have a blast everytime I go. If you go tomorrow you'll probably see me and my kids up there.
This place is also good and is closer to the Wild and Scenic River portion of Black Creek (although Brandon will take you there too): http://www.redwolfwildernessadventures.com/
