I am considering going to watch a concert there soon, and check out the venue. Have any of you been? And if so can you offer suggestions for what time to get there before a concert, parking, etc...

parking is not that great but it is downtown. Go park and have a few beers at the bars then walk over. Great venue though.

The parking is free correct? I hear people will try to get you to pay for parking nearby, but there is a free parking already available.

i live about a half mile away. i have seen 4 shows there, i love it. not a bad seat in the place, vendors spread out all over so there is usually not long of a wait for drinks. i love the train tracks in the background, I've actually seen a train go by during a concert - just kind of a cool scene. usually 2 janitors are in the bathroom the entire time cleaning as the show goes on. easy to smuggle in *flasks* and such - just saw CSN wednesday with a few starkville folks - good time.<div>
</div><div>free parking under the bridge and by the bridge up the hill by the downtown bars. there is free parking all downtown. there is a larger lot right beside it that is sometimes free and sometimes cost 10 or 20.</div>

I saw Counting Crows there a few weeks ago. The sound quality is top notch and there's not a bad seat. Park downtown, grab a beer and some dinner, then make the nice little walk to the concert. <div>
</div><div>By the way, beer is pretty damn expensive at the show as one would expect. I think it's $6 for a tall can of Coors/Bud/etc., but they do have some cocktails and draft beers available (also expensive).</div>

Caught WSP there last fall... it's a nice place. Nice concessions/facilities.... not a bad seat in the house really.

Parking sucks. We parked up the big hill, down the street past the bars, in an alley by a dumpster. It was a long walk and would have really sucked if it were during the summer.

Saw the Avett Brothers there last spring. Wonderful place. Parking not a problem. There was lots of parking everywhere. I seem to recall we paid to park in a lot some Boy Scouts were operating, but there are plenty of other options as well.

24oz beer?

That's $3 a beer. What do you pay for a beer at the bar?
