OT: Typhoon storm surge video

Looks like a damn tsunami instead of a hurricane. Unreal. I didn't think a storm surge would do that.

I don't think that was the 'storm surge'. It has to be a more gradual process. That looked like a levee breaking somewhere.

I heard a witnesses account say the water started coming in and he had no more than 1-2min before his bottom floor was under water as he took refuge in the ceiling. He said he was panicking and can't tell for sure how long it really took, but that it seems to come on extremely fast.

I had no idea until I heard that story the surge would do that either. Amazing.

I was thinking it has to be something else. Surge just doesn't normally look like that.
