I think season 2 was better than 1. They slowed down the progression of the plot in some areas and further developed some of the characters. There was plenty of killing and fighting in just about every episode. And of course the twist in the last episode was badass.

My only issue is that this should be on HBO. I think it would be even more graphic. The new princess would be awesome if not on cable.

Season 2 was quite good and I'm looking

Forward to next. Glad to see that pompous snake King Horick get what he had coming.

NSFW? it was good. if i was ragnar, i would keep working that lagertha and the new wife angle and try to work in a vacation to wessex for a 4-way with that new freak in the sheets.

siggy can come too.

THAT is a talented cast, but im not a big fan of bjorn's new girlfriend.

ladies aside, that blood eagle was badass a couple of episodes ago.

i remember the blind seer saying something to the effect of bjorn would be more famous than his dad and he would sail where there is no horizon (or something to that effect) OR be the father of many men/nations/be a powerful king (something to that effect).

also, whats up with people licking this guy's hand? that red haired dude that ragnar bloodeagle-ed licked his hand after he got his prophecy. who has to lick his hand and who gets a pass? inquiring minds want to know....

Modern day version is "talk to the hand"*

I seem to recall him saying he would wed the daughter of a king which makes it tough for the new free woman. I may be in the minority but I greatly admire the ex slave.

Couldn't agree more on both points.

I wonder what the hell they plan to do with Ragnar's jackass brother. No damn way King Horik and his son would have been banging my lady and living another day. I was surprised in the character's non-reaction. I hope season three begins with the brutal death of Horik's son.

I also wonder if they can find a way to further increase the hotness level of all these Viking women. It has been an outstanding job this far of course.

I've gotta admit... I got a little lost in the last 5 minutes.

1. So Floki clearly gave the guy that he supposedly "killed" some mushrooms to make it look like he was dead, but WTF did he give Rollo? Some mystical super-healing herbs?

2. What was with all of the dead children at the end? Are we to assume that Ragnar had Horick's sons murdered in advance but spared the girls?

3. What about the scene with Bjorn and the sword? Are we to assume that he's going to use that to kill Horick's last son that he asked to spare?

The ending just seemed a little jumbled(maybe on purpose), but it was still a great episode. I had a feeling that one of Ragnar's friends was going to truly turn on him, but that was a pretty cool scene at the end where they all pretty much gave Horick a big 17 you

1. That got me too, how did Rollo not get sick?
2. Did she kill Ragnar's boys anyway? I think another person did, maybe Horick's son?
3. Not sure on this one.

+1 for it Needs to be on HBO, showtime or MAX...

1. Both Rollo and the friend didn't get something that would kill them.

2. Ragnar's boys weren't hurt. That was Horick's kids who had arrived with his now dead wife. I think they spared the slave girls, not his daughters.

3. Not sure on the King's sword either.

The very end showed Ragnar with the King's sword. So I think Bjorn just gives it to Ragnar, but him picking it up was probably foreshadowing for well down the road.

I really like rolo's character. He is all over the place. one day he is cracking skulls and being a badass and the next, he is laying in a puddle of his own vomit and generally, just being a *****. hes the wildcard. im expecting a big upswing next season back to badass status, but glad he is back on board with ragnar.

they are definitely pushing a 10 on the heat meter, but where there's a will, there's a way.

Well, what about Floki watching Bjorn and the slave girl "rolling in the grass"? Did he just watch, or have Bjorn's back as he said? That was kinda weird.

1) Looked to me like he gave them both the same kind of mushroom, and neither got sick. I think the one that he supposedly killed was part of the plan to act like he was sick.
2) I couldn't tell who was dead. I assumed it was Horick's kids.
3) I assumed that Bjorn was going to take "the sword of the king" to Ragnar.
