Castlewoods Boulevard, inside The Willows. Yesterday there was a house right past Apple Blossom, our street, that had approximately 50 cars parked in front of and down both sides of the street. People coming and going were middle aged white. I didn't think much of it. Probably someone died. This morning there are two Flowood cop cars and two Pearl cop cars parked in front of same house. The cops were all standing out in the front yard. No lights or sirens. Then on my way home at noon there is an unmarked "surveillance" type car parked parallel to the house on the street. Also on way home I noticed WAPT 16 news van leaving Castlewoods. What gives? I assume it may be connected with the two Pearl police officers yesterday.

but it could be their house. I know their daughter plays soccer in the NWR area, as do my kids. Very sad situation.

My kids play soccer in NWRAA at the reservoir. I know cops don't have to live where they serve so could be their home. He was an investigator so he wouldn't have driven a Pearl police cruiser home. Probably why I never noticed that house Cause I drive by it everyday.

there is another Pearl Police car and officer stationed at the driveway this afternoon. I stopped to tell him I was very sorry about what happened. He just said he appreciated it. He must be there to keep the news crews away and to keep the family from being bombarded by people like yesterday. There was one young lady who left while I stopped and was talking to the policeman, she was brunette so it wasn't his wife. She was visibly upset when she left.

ETA: FlabLoser, where do you live? I am on Apple Blossom Drive. .5 miles from NWR.

And someone told me that officer lived in Rez. East. off Hollybush.

Anyone know for sure? Even if that officer lived in Castlewoods that seems like strange behavior.

I did see a Pearl Police car on the Causeway this morning...which is out of place unless he was at Rez. East.

which would make his address a Castlewoods Boulevard one. My 10 and 8 year old ride the bus with their 11 yr old daughter. She is a fifth grader at NWRE. Our next door neighbor ison the boardof the home owners assoc and he also confirmed it along with the Hinds county DA that lives behind us. I will say this, if anything were to go down in Pearl they would escape because 3/4 of the Pearl Police Department is set up camp in her yard and driveway, in Flowood. I understand not wanting the family bothered by the press but it seems one would be enough.

On a related note, the road that goes up by the tennis courts headed to NWRE has a house right on the main street. The city of Jackson has someone who obviously works for JPD who has a house right on that road. In his driveway is a brand new dodge charger swagged out in about $50,000 worth of SWAT accoutrement, lights, badges and the like. Bastard is always at home. I have never seen the car move. He can't work the exact same shifts as I do because I vary. Looks like a big waste of money

They can afford all of these souped up cars and suv's? JPD is a monumental joke. One of the worst crime rates in the country, but they keep officers parked on I-55 all day every day near the Ridgeland line trying to catch people going 65 in a 60 mph zone. Brilliance is overflowing out of that city.

they must believe that speeding is the underpinning of a lawless society. i think they should throw the whole lot of your lawless heathens in the state pen for life.... that'll serve you right for not being able to read and follow a simple numerical request.
