The MSU memorabilia thread made me wonder what cool stuff SPS owns. Post a picture of it if you want. Or don’t.

It can be anything, such as Native American artifacts (please don’t upset any dead injuns), an old gun, antique car/truck/swagger wagon, boats, tractors (DCD what ya got), collectible music albums, first edition books, Civil War stuff, beanie baby collection (making sure mstateglfr has a submission), antique furniture, collectible magazine issues, deer mounts, safari mounts (for the wealthy folks like fishwater), ticket stubs from famous concerts, collectible toys (not the kind found on WNBA courts), cooking equipment (HD6), etc.

Today, its about 3,000 shares of TQQQ.

I do have an unboxed, out of shrink rap original iPhone from 2007. One sold for $200k before they figured out it they weren't all that common. Its worth about $30k without the shrink wrap.

I bought two the day they came out. Immediately opened one and started using it. My wife did not initially like the touchscreen, so I was going to return hers (They were $800 cash at the time). Before I could get it returned, she went into labor with our oldest and it was misplaced. I found it a couple years later when we were moving into a new house and they were on Ebay for like $200 so I just said I'd keep it.

Not cool from a jealous perspective, but kinda unique cool…

I have an autographed baseball from the 1992 Russian National team- so it was the first team post USSR.
The Russian National team came to the US to play a bunch of games on a tour of the country and played against some high level amateur team in my hometown.
I won it by beating another kid in a race around the bases.

One of my kids found it in a bin in the basement a few months ago- I hadn’t seen it since before y2k.

In middle school, we participated in some program where they connected you with a pen pal overseas. My pen pal was from Sweden, which was kind of fun. About 10 years ago, I found one of his letters when helping my parents move. Turned out it was Bjorn Nittmo, who would go on to kick for the Giants and become a running gag on Letterman for a few weeks.

Signed helmets from: Anthony Dixon, Dak
Prescott, Jim Brown, Joe Montana, and Patrick Mahomes. My most prized possession is the 2022 six pack pick ‘em champ cowbell.

I have a few things from my mother's father. I only knew him for probably the last two years of his life and he was one hell of a man.

I have a 5 franc note that he carried with him throughout WW2. We are not sure where or how he got it because we were told that he was severely injured when his tank was hit in Italy. We are not 100% sure about his time in Europe because never spoke about his service.

You should be able to track down his service record if you know some basic information about his enlistment. A cousin did this for my grandfather who died well before I was born. I have his WW2 paratrooper jump card that he signed with each training jump.

We tried back in the late 90's. His records were destroyed in the fire of 1972 at the NPRC in St. Louis.

I've got a picture taken by an Israeli F-15 pilot while he was inverted over Jerusalem. The Dome of the Rock is prominent.

This was way before selfies were a thing.

I have two first year production Ruger Standard 22 pistols. One is a 1949 and the other is an early 1950. Ruger started production in mid 49 so the first year didnt end until mid 1950.

Y’all still own things?

You actually beat me to this, but ignoring that it was promoting a dystopia where you don't own a house or car or anything, I'm sort of there on everything except house, boat, and cars. I don't have a single possession that I have because it's cool. Closest thing I have is an old jeep, but I actually drive it a good bit. And there's nothing special about it beyond any other old jeep. It's just something to ride around in without a top and to enjoy driving a stick. I don't have any MSU memorabilia. I have a few semi-sentimental things on my wall, but I own them more to have something to put on the wall. If it wasn't functional for decoration purposes, I wouldn't keep them. I don't have a souvenier of anywhere I've been unless it's something I'm actually using, like a cup or mug. I still somehow have too much **** even without collecting anything, and maybe that's why I have no interest in having anything cool, but even just typing this out makes me want to go throw away more ****.

You sure it's the same one? Pretty sure Bjorn Nittmo is the equivalent of naming your kid John Smith in Sweden.**
