The MSU memorabilia thread made me wonder what cool stuff SPS owns. Post a picture of it if you want. Or don’t.

It can be anything, such as Native American artifacts (please don’t upset any dead injuns), an old gun, antique car/truck/swagger wagon, boats, tractors (DCD what ya got), collectible music albums, first edition books, Civil War stuff, beanie baby collection (making sure mstateglfr has a submission), antique furniture, collectible magazine issues, deer mounts, safari mounts (for the wealthy folks like fishwater), ticket stubs from famous concerts, collectible toys (not the kind found on WNBA courts), cooking equipment (HD6), etc.
SF 49ers football signed by the whole team around 85-86 (not positive on the date), it has Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, Ronnie Lott.... Hall of Famers all over it. Unfortunately, I did not have it properly stored for years and many of the signatures are faded (pre sharpie days).

Ron Polk signed baseball from Jackson Generals game in like 2003 in Smith Wills. Polk coached 3rd base. I was selected for the Whats in the Box promotion. I could have taken the prize, but I chose what was in the box... Polk's signed baseball. I was on the jumbotron and everything.

Two things:
1. A baseball used in Don Larson's World Series perfect game signed by the Yankees team. It had been uncared for prior to my possession of it and the names are barely legible. I called Cooperstown to see if they had any ways to make the name stand out better and they said no.
2. Some dress military equipment (hat, belt, medals) owned by former Soviet soldiers. Bought in the early 1990s as Communism was falling. They would rather have ten US dollars than their very nice uniform items.

A Remington 24 gauge shotgun from the 1890's. Single shot, 30" drop-down barrel, small stock like a rifle, hammer on the left side. I bet it was a helluva squirrel gun back in the day.

An Indian grinding stone. Totally flat on the bottom, about 3" thick, squared off about 6" X 6", top is concave with another sunken area in the very center about the diameter of a pecan and about half as deep as a pecan sitting on its end. I found it in a corn field next to Hwy 49 just south of Mount Olive in Covington County when I was a kid. It is made from smooth, dark brown stone and fairly heavy for it's size. A state department of archeology guy said the stone came from Winston County. I asked him if it was Choctaw and he said "No, this was used before there were tribes. This is from when they were still nomadic"

ETA: A few more items

1. A 12 gauge and a gold trigger lightweight 20 gauge Belgium-made Browning A5 shotguns. The 20 weighs about as much as a heavy pellet gun and will beat you to death! Both have 26" barrels and are great quail guns. Not so good for ducks where you need some anti-aircraft reach sometimes.

2. A 20 gauge LC Smith ribbed double barrel. With the extra weight of the rib, the kick isn't bad at all.

3. A Mike Leach autographed game jersey I won as a prize for renewing season tickets for his 2nd year here.

4. Numerous Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins and Elvis LP's

5. An LP of the Eagles first album with "No. 6 of first 8" hand-etched into the spiral down area between the end of the last song and label in the center of the record. May not mean anything BUT what if it does mean that it was their 6th record ever pressed?

A revolver made in Russia in 1919 for WWI that still bears the double eagle of the house of Romanov. A paid for house. A paid for boat. Also a really really stupid dog that just ate a pound of Alaskan salmon while my back was turned.

anybody want a free dog?

That gun sounds awesome. Must have been fun to shoot. I’ve got my great great grandfather’s Winchester Model 1873 lever action, octagon barrel 32-20. It has fantastic dark patina on the stock and the barrel is in really good shape. It’s one of the sweetest shooting guns I’ve ever used. We shoot it a good bit but the rounds are of course expensive.

I’ve got a bunch of stuff from Iraq; pieces of shrapnel, flags, parts of uniforms, bayonets. I’ve got some cool guns. I’ll have some safari mounts in the next few years. I’ve got Terrence Metcalf’s Super Bowl helmet. Solid human being even if he is a Rebel. Traded him some Iraq war memorabilia for it.

Not one, but two diplomas from THE Mississippi State University worth almost their weight in heavy-ish bond certificate paper stock. My Dad's Browning A5 made in the early 1930s, a 105mm shell and a linked set of 25mm shells fired from a AC-130. My Granddad's old post mount hand crank drill press and probably a few other sentimental things boxed up at my Mom's house.

Wife snagged this for me back in 09 for Christmas as a gag. No way in hell she spent more than 30 bucks on it. I love it.

I also have two diplomas from Mississippi State, but in the most M-State way possible. I graduated in December of 2004, and received my diploma and was so proud to frame it and hang it....Then a couple of weeks later another one comes in the mail with a letter stating that the first had a typo in it. Grabbed the original and had to read over it several times to find the typo, but sure enough it is there. So the original is framed in a nice frame, and the typo is framed in what I will call a travel frame, that I dont mind if it gets banged up.

Over 500 spear points including 3 paleo pieces. Some actual American Indian teeth.

My two favorite items: A turtle head effigy from the rim of American Indian bowl.

A smashed 3 ringer bullet from a union camp, that was likely used as a poker chip.
The soldier carved his initials into the lead and then carved a picture of a 3ringer bullet.

It’s a very personal piece.

I have a LC Smith double barrel shotgun that belonged to my great grandfather. My Dad had it restored. Wouldn't part w/it for any amount of money.

I also have a '95 Chevy Tahoe (2 door) w/49,000 miles.

Oh yeah, my Michael Jordan 1986 fleer rookie card.

I’d love to see the Tahoe. How in the world does it only have 49k miles?

I bought it from a gentleman in Indiana that owned two car dealerships. He and his wife bought it new in '95 to go to Alaska. They were "car" people and had quite the collection and were down sizing. I'll post some pics this evening.

BTW, I also have two others. Wife says one has to go. I have a 98 2DR Tahoe w/103,000 original miles and a 97 2DR Yukon. I'm selling the '98. It's in incredible condition for anyone that might be looking.

I dropped a 14 inch deuce in 1996 that was solid with no breaks and it had fins. I named it flipper and had it bronzed. I think it's in the attic. I'll try to find it.

2 German coins with Swatztikas, one from 1940 and one from 1942. Inherited that my mom’s side of the family and also have a signed empire of Japan flag that was from the battle of Guam in 1944.

I also have several republic of China coins as well.

About a decade ago, a grad school friend of mine invited me to lunch with his dad. They own several car dealerships here and routinely buy sports related memorabilia to give away with purchases. Stan Musial had just passed and he knew I was a huge Cardinals fan and they had bought a few boxes of autographed balls from his estate sale and he gave me one.

I also attended the Albert Pujols 3 homerun world series game in Arlington and have that ticket stub in pristine condition on my wall. I hope to get it signed one day.

It's not often people admit to federal crimes on the internet, but it's funny when they do.

Yep. In almost perfect condition. It's got one crease and some very slight water damage on one side, but considered excellent for collectors. They're not as rare as you'd think.

Hijacking the thread, we have a winner.

I already asked my mom and she said it was okay. Can I come over to your house to see your cool maps and stuff?!

Seriously, your man cave or office or wherever you keep these sounds awesome. What's the oldest map you have?
