Going with Goose Island Bourbon County Coffee Stout (random pic). I got this as a Christmas gift as these have become to pricey for a 16oz beer IMO $25 for this one. They still sell out too at most places and are very sought after. Very good if your into this style beer

Going with 2022 Goose Island 30th Anniversary Stout. The stout was aged in bourbon barrels from 4 different bourbon makers. Incredible beer that packs a punch at 14.4% but surprisingly drinkable. Happy St Patrick's Day everyone 🍀

Whew! Just got back from a whirlwind, 36 hour, brewery/casino/Irish pub tour with the Mrs. Visited 5 different breweries yesterday in upstate NY (Equilibrium being tops), followed by six visits to five venues today for St. Paddy's Day festivities with many, many Guinness pours throughout the day. Sláinte!!!

Nyquil. I got my second Shingles Vax yesterday and I feel like I have the flu.

Strangely the first shot had no effect on me.

Damn.

I'm sitting on a script for the Shingles vax. Now I feel like I wanna leave it in the drawer.

That double dose vax.... Felt "significant" shoulder pain. Actually, "extreme" pain. And I'm very tolerant re: pain. Good luck.

Anyone thinking about S2 star when they drink? It orbits the Milky Way’s supermassive black hole about every 16 years. Last closest pass was May 2018 at about 3% the SOL. Suckers about 10X the size of our Sun. That’s what I’m thinking about as I drink a Bud

Are you thinking this may be your last beer as we all get sucked into oblivion?

This makes no sense. What do you mean by “we”? We’re about 25 thousand LY from our galaxy’s black hole
Sorry for the confusion. I don’t really think about these things and have little interest in them and I shouldn’t have kidded around with you. Carry on and enjoy your Bud.

OK, so that means that our whole solar system could be like one tiny atom in the fingernail of some other giant being. This is nuts! That means that one tiny atom in my fingernail could be one tiny little universe!

Question for you guys - anyone here GF? Wife has celiac and we’re looking for good GF beers.

Best she’s had so far is Ixnay from Geary’s in Maine.

Any recommendations?

Can anyone name this drink?
1 oz Plantation rum
1 oz white or silver rum
1 oz fresh lime juice
.5 oz orgeat
.5 oz orange curacao
.5 oz agave syrup
Shake with ice and serve over crushed ice.

Or this one:
2 oz Makers Mark
.5 oz agave syrup
.5 oz fresh lemon juice
Muddle with mint sprigs

I made these two drinks all weekend long for friends on a trip to Sunriver, Oregon over the last 3 days. Both were huge hits. I highly recommend them.

The first one I think is a Mai Thai… I cannot think of the second one yet.

*** I don’t know the name but it looks similar to a Bourbon Lime.

Lately been on a bit of a tequila kick. Sipped on Fortaleza Blanco and San Matias Extra Añejo recently.

Lol. We all have some bottles that are strictly used as mixers. Ever since I got back from Italy in March, I've been kind of hooked on Bourbon Aperol Sours. Killing off some Blade and Bow and Penelope Architect that I'm not really enjoying neat.

my brother got one of the worst case of shingles that doctors in NJ ever seen, they ambulanced him over to NYC to be hospitalized. He looked like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, it was terrible. After that I went and got Shingrix.

As far as drinks go, just tried Broadbent Madeira Rainwater for the first time, pretty nice drink, first time I've tried a Madeira. Big fan of these fortified wines as long as they aren't overtly sweet (other than a good Pedro Ximinez which are always fantastic)

Stopped at Sheridan's in Andover on the way to see Aimee Mann in Newton on Friday. Had pints of Equillibrium Wavelength, Lawsons Hazy Rays and Angry Erik C.A.B.
