I'll be flying out to Phoenix, AZ for business soon. Due to flights, I'll get into Phoenix late Saturday afternoon but my first meeting isn't until Monday morning. So, I've got Saturday night, all day Sunday and Sunday night free. What to do?

Thought of leaving straight from the airport Saturday and heading to the Grand Canyon (never seen it) then driving back down to Phoenix Sunday night late unless there's something better to do in Phoenix Sat/Sun.

Any input?

Thanks!

I have heard the Sonoran desert is a great place to see, never seen it.

Tempe and Scottsdale have all the night life. Mill Avenue in Tempe is pretty cool. It's like 6th street in Austin, TX. It has alot of bars/restaurants up and down it.

There isn't much to do in Phoenix believe it or not.

If you golf, take your pick. Tons of great courses. We Ko Pa and Sunridge Canyon are two suggestions.

Mill Ave near ASU is pretty awesome. Grab a bite to eat or a drink down there if you can.

There's plenty to do locally, but hit the canyon if you don't plan to go again

Camelback Mountain is a good hike, Four Peaks (Tempe) is a good brewery and restaurant, and Rancho de Tia Rosa (in Mesa) is an awesome, affordable Mexican restaurant. Those are all local.

If you head north, stay Saturday night in Flagstaff and try to hit Beaver Street Brewery. Go to the canyon from the east entrance of the park and view the Little Colorado Canyon on the reservation along the way. Spend some time in the park, and then get back to PHX before dark if you want. Swing through Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona on the trip back south for a pretty full day.
