Were you working in an Indonesian sweat shop making Nikes around that time?
No when a team makes the final four, they print up the T Shirts in case they win it all. There is no time right after. I was lifting weights at Gold Gym in Jackson and there was a Cheerleader that worked out and she had a box of them. She gave several that gave away. I have one somewhere in the house.

For you youngsters this was the main way to hear anything about MSU sports other than the Clarion Ledger at that time. This is a Final 4 edition of it. Joe Dier was the Editor and Bob Hartley wrote some and was the SID at that time. It was a weekly (most of the year) tabloid size paper that was $30/year for 38 issues according to the inside cover.

Exactly, and then they send all the gear of the teams that didn't win it all overseas to Indonesian sweatshops, because folks over there don't know the difference between Mississippi State and Syracuse.

I have NO clue what this thing is, I bought 2 of them in an antique mall in Hot Springs, AR. Don't know if its a long tailed dog, bear, ape, no clue. I've owned it probably 30+ years and it was old when I bought it

A few of them made it to Rankin County.

Not weird, but unique:

A gift for my HS graduation in 1988 from a classmate. Has hung in my office for 30+ years.
There used to be a t-shirt back in the early 90’s that was made for a lot of schools…. Only the logo/school name would change.

“At (school logo), we’re not snobs. We’re just better than you.” This made sense for a lot of schools like SMU, Duke, and on some delusional level, the Johnny Rebs. We had a friend who had the State version, and we always laughed.

Loved those things. I wasn't allowed to open them until after my father had read it. Best way for out of state fans to keep up with our teams for decades. Of course living in GA, info was all about a week late. But we didn't care. There was no other way to follow or even know scores, standings, etc of baseball & basketball.

1945 egg bowl ticket I found while cleaning out my grandparents house. Final Four Banner and 1980 6-3 decal, ticket, and postcard. Also have final four schedule with all the teams signatures.

I have a 2021 National Champions License Plate Frame because let’s face it, when it comes to weirdness, ain’t nothing as abnormal at MSU than celebrating a Natty…
