That hat is embroidered. It's high quality work.

I have a lot of MSU memorabilia, but since this is asking about weird stuff. How's this? Anybody else have one of these or know it's source/purpose? It was found under a house (not in Mississippi) by a friend of a relative when they were doing some demo. He gave it to my relative since he was the only State fan he knew. My relative (who will probably see this post) had no use for it and passed it on to me. It now sits in a display cabinet along with some of my other State memorabilia. I don't know how old it is, but figure it fits in the 1979-2002 window since that's when MSU was on our helmet. I figure it's on the early end of that scale since it has no facemask and they didn't appear until the late 40's. It's carved wood with a cork tapered on the bottom that doesn't look like it's ever been compressed very much. I'm thinking about making another cowbell and put this gem on the end of the handle if I can figure out a good way to secure it.

You made good on your promise and closed the gap significantly, certainly odd. Someone's idea for a stopper for something.
As you say, your other stuff isn't weird but I have to say that's some pretty cool stuff

This is remarkably weird.
I’d say this was probably from about the late 1970’s to about 1985.
In ‘86 when Felker came in we switched to a more tighter MSU but wider and had some gray in the logo as well.

Got this old walking Bully insulated mug on my desk. Haven't seen the lid in years. Got a bunch of change in it (just in case) even though I hardly ever use cash for anything.

Nabbed this restroom sign from a stadium remodel years ago.
Wanted to put it over our master bath door when we did our house remodel, but wife vetoed that idea.
So it hangs proudly in the garage

Yep, its the coldest game I've ever sat through, plus we got our azzes handed to us by a smaller, slower, less talented team that won because they were disciplined and methodical about their game.
100% accurate. I seriously couldn't feel my feet by the end of that game.

That bulldog looks exactly like the Red Dog Beer logo I drank in HS. Did you re-appropriate it for this?
yes, i did. I dabble in neon signs. I had the Red dog head left over and got some overseas manufacturer from ebay to make me the Mississippi State tubes. Then I had some other left over back light white tubing and I cut out some plexiglass and had a translucent sticker made (Bulldogs) and put it all together with a spare frame and transformer I had laying around.

I knew it. That's a cool hobby to have.
