If 6-7 can make it to the mainstream maybe you can take 17 to the masses?
I’ve done that and used sarcasterisks a few times, then later explained what sarcasterisks are to that person.
Ha, yeah once I realized I what I did, I then noticed there was no confusion over the verbiage used.It seems they picked up on it without further explanation.
Did you just out @Shmuley as an Iowan volleyball aficionado?
41 is the new 6-7If 6-7 can make it to the mainstream maybe you can take 17 to the masses?
forgive me for being a tad bit "old".....but, what the 17 does "6 - 7" mean?If 6-7 can make it to the mainstream maybe you can take 17 to the masses?

When I ran the local paper, this was the cover of our 2017 fall sports issue, Game Time. Yes, it was intentional.

It means nothing...and everything.
Its originally a reference to a relatively obscure rap song where the numbers are used in a single line. It also then references LaMelo Ball's height because he is 6'7 and plays like he is 6'2(per some content creator's opinion).
The phrase is now used to mean 'so-so' or 'either or' or 'about' Its a way to express unsureness or vagueness.
It is now accompanied by the gesture where with palms up, your hands go up and down, like when you express something as 'so-so' or 'about'.
It is also now often said even when it doesnt apply. Like a coach will say "The score is 14 to 12." and kids yell "6 7!!!!!!"...because they are dummies.
The English language is crazy in how fluid it can be when it comes to the meaning of words and communication.
Rad, gnarly, extreme, and awesome (for things that weren't all that awesome) immediately spring to mind. I'm old enough to remember Frank Zappa's daughter releasing her 'Valley Girl' song that I had to suffer through on MTV for a couple of months. Before I proclaim that this one of the dumbest things I've heard in a while, I'm sure there were some dumb words or phrases we used in our youth (80's and 90's for me). I just can't think of any of that come anywhere close to this. Can any of you jog my memory?

Get off my lawn.
My sophomore daughter sent me a pic of 6 7 ballons on the wall. They threw a 6 7 party that started on Saturday night the 6th and went into the morning of Sunday the 7th.It means nothing...and everything.

You’re imagining things, that’s not even a real word with any meaning. Here's a question I've had lately. When did the term gaslight become so common.
Unless I was just oblivious, I'm pretty sure I never heard that term growing up and on through the 90's and 00's.
Now it seems like it's everywhere. Apparently comes from an old B&W movie from the 40's, which I've seen, but did not put it together with the term until recently...
