Wanting to bring the gulf with me to a party Saturday. Would just buy a sack down here but I'll be leaving tomorrow and don't want to maintain an oyster nursery in the back of my truck for half a week.

Already called Shucker's, they don't sell by the sack. They did recommend that I try a place called Mississippi Seafood in South Jackson but I can't find any good info on google about the place.

Anybody bought bulk oysters in Jackson before? Were they good, and do you remember what state they were harvested?

much thanks

New Orleans Fish House
It's in South Jackson on E. McDowell, past the UPS warehouse and "adult" stores.

Just looked it up:
795 East McDowell Road, Jackson, MS
(601) 353-0196 ‎

Disclaimer: I have no idea if they're still open, it's where I used to get seafood to haul back to Kentucky after trips home. All their stuff was fresh and they could tell you what state it was from.
