Here for the week playing with the hail damage. Ate at Two Rivers last night. Where else?

I'm thinking it may be a good night for some music

What about Georgia Blue? Good food? Music. Just came across it on the net.

Feel sorry for you folks down in this area. That was some big hail that hit. Reminds me of the hail that was in the Okolona area when all of the tornadoes came through a couple of years ago

If you want music, Georgia Blue is a good bet. Food is decent.
You could try Soulshine on Highland Colony or Burgers and Blues on Centre St. in Ridgeland... they both usually have live music on Saturday nights.

If it is Canton eating places you are interested in, go to the square and try Davidsons or RJ Barrel. Two Rivers is certainly the best. As others have mentioned, Madison and Ridgeland not too far away.

Trace Grill is good for dinner too- great blue plate type stuff.

If you want to be totally unproductive for an afternoon, go to Hamil's in Madison for a country buffet lunch of ribs, fried chicken, and catfish.

Off the beaten path- drive down 22 to Flora. The little building by the train tracks is the Blue Rooster- my new favorite burger in the Jackson metro. And a cool vibe - small town, old building.

And there's a good cheap Chinese place on the east side of Canton- Red Dragon maybe? On Peace St, looks like an old Kindercare building.

Ate at Georgie Blue tonight

Did more drinking than eating. Good times and good music. I hope to get some crawfish while I am down this way. If any of you folks have insurance questions let me know. Been doing it for a little while. Of course, every company's policy could be different.

There are two crawfish places right off of the Gluckstadt exit. If you're coming from Canton, take 55 South...take the Gluckstadt exit, go over the interstate, right at Bank Plus, Crawfish on left at McGraw's Mercantile (really good crawfish and big). Take a left at that crawfish stand and there is a place a mile down called "Hebert's". It is a more true Cajun crawfish place. A little more spicy, but big crawfish and a little cheaper than the first one I mentioned. I have had crawfish all over the area, and these two are the best I've had this season. Both are open on Sunday typically unless the weather is real bad.

Cadaver, thanks for mentioning the crawfish places. I'll be in that area next weekend and that sounds great.

The owner Johnny is a world class prick.

Just hope the service is good and you don't have to interact with him.

For lunch in Canton

Try Culinary Cowboy right behind Two Rivers. Went there Friday and it is very good. Fresh Amish baked bread loaves, homemade pies and the entrees are great. Only open a few months.
