Have you ever considered the possibility that the president can't change anything because of Congress?Yet Congress will be happy with yet another president that will change nothing

Not trying to go down this rabbit hole as I disagree with lots of you about politics, but I will say that the treatment of Merrick Garland is overwhelming proof of my earlier point. A historic moderate who was universally praised on both sides won't even get a hearing because of who nominated him.Just my opinion. But since I have been old enough to pay attention to these things, congress and whoever is the president at the time have gone back and forth blaming each other for not working together. This is not a right and left thing more than it is simply just an American politics thing. Created to unite, designed to divide.
The insinuation that a person can't do their job impartially based on X, Y, or Z is a strawman fallacy rooted in ignorance and bigotry. Identify the actual issue -- what the judge did that was unfair -- instead of speculating about how he might do something unfair b/c of a demographic.Well, Dattier wants to go there, so I'll bite. I AM enthusiastic over Trump and I think it's downright stupid for half the **** he gets called out for. Just like the Mexican Judge issue. Sure it's all proper and sweet to gasp and says"oh my! That's so racial!" BS. It's the truth. He's being judged by a man who supports Hillary, even with donations, and is of Mexican Heritage and Trump has caused a lot of dissension amoung many Mexicans. If you think that Judge doesn't take those issues into his thought process, you are an absolute idiot. Trump just essentially calls it like he sees it and people, he doesn't get it wrong much. Now in today's TIME, oh yea it's wrong, because you can't tell the truth anymore . I'm sick and damn tired of people using their so called rights to do the wrong thing. I'd like to see people respecting this great country and its military. I'd like to see people respecting our flag. I'd like to see people coming into this country the right way, not skinning their back on some barbed wire while dragging in a sack of cocaine. I want to know our military can respond to any enemy with greater force than any other. Most of all, I just want Trump in to see how much of that dirt in congress he can sweep out. There's wayyyyy to much. I know Trump isn't President Material yet, but I think he can get there and he's famous for surrounding himself with the right people. He will. The Clintons are as underhanded and dirty as any duo on this planet, how anyone could support Hillary simply blows my mind. We are down to Trump and Hillary. Write ins and non votes are a vote for Hillary. So the bottom line is, you're still voting for one or the other. I'm voting Trump, at least there will BE change that way.

Lots of pictures online of Donald Sterling shaking hands with his African American players too.
dbav, I'll never hate you for who you vote for my friend. We all have a different point of view. I'm just giving mine.
I don't have to agree with you in order to respect your values. And in most cases, the only way you offend people is if you deliberately go out of your way to. Expressing your beliefs is not offensive IMO. Insulting others because of their's is.I'll vote for her with enthusiasm. I would have voted for Bernie if I could, but her husband was responsible for the most economically prosperous period in my life time. Also, she doesn't think my brother should never be able to marry anyone because he's homosexual.
Frankly, those are the issues I care about. Supply side economics don't work. They have never worked. 3 presidents have used it and it launched our country into recession each time. The last one took a while to get out of.
An economy works when money is moving. The middle class is the one that spends the most. Bill Clinton was a reprehensible person, but he understood that. That's what we need because a couple buying a few extra Christmas or birthday presents, going on another vacation, or buying more things for their homes in a country with a population of 400,000,000 is how you get an economy going. You need to create demand. It does no good to generate supply when there is no one that can afford what's already there.
Also, f*** anyone who believes my brother is less of a person because of his sexual preference. I love him very much and he's one of the best people I know. Anyone who would say such a thing is already way out of his class as far as character and I would not vote for anyone who had a hand in making a marriage amendment the most important political conversation in America.
Didn't mean to make that personal, but I am pretty excited to vote for Hillary. I know my views are in the extreme minority on this board so I usually keep them to myself, but since this is the thread for it, I thought I'd share my position. I hope it doesn't offend anyone because that is not my intention.
This statement could easily be used to defend the judge against Trump's claims.Judging by his lifestyle, women he's dated and married, people he has employed and befriended in his past, that's a damn joke.
Damn it all, I promised myself I would not talk politics on this board. Damn you skys.
Voted for Trump in the South Carolina primary and I am voting for him in the general election. I'm enthusiastic about it too!"Trump might be racist, but..."?
What Trump believes is that America isn't great. That's not what we need in a President. I'm not hearing much enthusiasm among those here saying they'll be voting for Trump. The GOP is stuck with him as their candidate b/c they spent 8 years trying to undermine and obstruct President Obama by criticizing every last thing they could and painting a picture of near apocalyptic doom for the country. When Trump grabbed the reins on that bandwagon of fear, they were powerless to stop him in the primary because they created that narrative.
I love you right back, but telling me to "drop the PC" is insinuating that I'm not sincere. By extension, that line of logic ultimately leads to assuming that anyone who disagrees with you must be insincere. And you add "scared" to it, as well. smhDat, I love you man, but drop the PC for a minute. Seriously, it's ok to call a certain person out for what they are. Take me for example. I'm white. Now , a white guy robs a store and I call him a sorry POS, nobody bats an eye. A black guy robs a store and I call him a sorry POS, I'm a racist. Trump feels he won't get a fair shake from that judge, I feel the exact same way. Lot's of folks do, and a lot of them are just like you....scared to admit it.
I'm not hearing much enthusiasm from those here that are saying they are voting for Hilldog either. Hmmmm
Sanders voters? I would wager that most people under the age of 25 or so know hardly anything about the political system, how it affects them, their candidates stance on the issues, definitely nothing about the candidates past or history and how they have voted in congress and who they have destroyed to get where they are in the system. The majority of young people can tell you how a cell phone app works but they can't tell you who is Speaker of the House, Majority Leader, Minority Leader or even the Vice Presidents name.I've been fascinated with all the young voters Sanders has. From what I've seen he's promising free college tuition for everyone. Who's going to pay for that? I'm tired of all the free handouts that the working man has to help fund through their taxes. Everyone needs to get off their a$$ and make something for themselves and not be dependent on the government. As for me, I'm voting Trump.
Oh, because everyone agrees with you if they're honest. That is a lot of assumptions but you know it is also the truth.
I only wish!Oh, because everyone agrees with you if they're honest.
I think we need another Ronald Reagan who most Americans would respect or even love. I think Trump is dangerous or either just likes to rile people up and Hillary cannot distinguish the truth from a lie and cannot be trusted about anything. She is just too despicable. If it's Teddy I agree.
I pray everyday that I wake up tomorrow and Ronald Reagan is president again.I think we need another Ronald Reagan who most Americans would respect or even love. I agree 1000 percent.Too many Americans barely pay attention to the world, absorbing sound bites and headlines, then somehow feel empowered to make prudent decisions. That's why we're in this position. Having an opinion is more important than critical thought for most.
I'm no racist. I am a realist. I hate thieves. They can be white, black, green pink, who cares. I hate people who are evil , break the law, have no respect for women or their elders, the list goes on and on. But you have to walk on eggshells because someone may call you down for being a racist. The Democrats are fueling a fire. They want as many people as they can to believe Trump is a racist. Judging by his lifestyle, women he's dated and married, people he has employed and befriended in his past, that's a damn joke.
